*Blair's POV*

Beep...

Beep...

Beep...

Beep...

Damn. That's a heart monitor, ain't it?

I opened my eyes, just to be blinded by the light. But quickly blinked, and my vision was immediately better.

I'm probably high off of my ass on pain medication, currently.

"Blair," a lady's voice started,

"You're awake."

"Yup, my eyes are open." I hoarsely stated looking around the room,

"What happened?"

"You were shot once in the abdomen." She answered, looking directly at me,

"Your friends brought you in."

"Atticus, is he okay?" I questioned-remembering him.

She smiled and nodded,

"Yes, you got the worst of it out of the two of you."

I sighed in relief and was able to relax my body a slight bit. Then she began speaking again,

"You are quite lucky that you didn't get an abdominal infection-or even in particular, appendicitis, as a child."

I frowned in confusion,

"Why's that?"

"The bullet punctured through you and directly into your appendix. If it wasn't there, you would've bled out within minutes." She answered,

"We did have to remove your appendix in surgery, though."

I nodded, understanding.

And my mother tried to get my appendix removed... oh am I ever glad that I never listen to her.

"Would you like anyone in here? I suggest not letting your whole group in here." She said to me.

"Uhm-No. I'd rather sleep for a bit." I told her.

She nodded and smiled,

"Alright, if you need anything at all, press this blue button here."

She pointed and continued on,

"Do you need anything at the moment?"

I shook my head,

"No, I'm okay."

"Alright, hun. I'm gonna give you a bit more pain medication, is that alright?" She asked me.

I nodded and began dozing off before she had even done anything. Even though I had been out for a while-I'm guessing-I'm still tired...

~~~
"Blair!" Charlie exclaimed, rushing into my room and immediately engulfing me in a hug.
It hurt, but I hid it and hugged back,
"Hey."
She let go of me, smiled, then sat down,
"How are you feeling?"
"Fine." I told her. Mostly honestly-the pain medication is practically numbing me.
"We took money from your bank account to pay for the surgery. Lola signed off on it." She told me.
I nodded, that took some worry out of my head,
"Thank you for not calling my parents."
"Don't thank me, you should be thanking Jamie." She stated.
