Jennie was sleeping soundly on her queen sized bed when a loud knock pulled her out from her dreamland. She rub her eyes with the back of her hand and lazily throw her feet to the carpeted floor. The loud knocks hadn't stop yet so she walk fast and hastily open her bedroom door revealing her best friend, Kim Jisoo. A dark red head beaut, smiling at her. Jennie's brows furrowed seeing Jisoo's face.
"Hey, you looked like trash." Jisoo said enthusiastically and enter her bedroom. Jennie scoff and slam her door behind her. She walk back to her bed and lay on her stomach. All she want is a good sleep without a certain someone ruining it.
"What do you want Chu?" she asked, her voice is kinda deep.
"Have you forgotten?" Jisoo asked amused.
"Forgotten what?"
"We are going to the newly opened branch of your Mom's boutique."
"Have you also forgotten? I already told you that I am not going." Jennie said and flip on her bed, she's fully awake now.
"But Jennie! Your Mom invited you." her best friend said glaring at her.
"So?"
"Don't 'so?' me Ruby Jane." Jisoo mimicked her voice and crossed her arms against her chest.
"But I really don't want to go Chu! I am not in the mood to deal with her family and be fake for an hour or so." Jennie said and went inside her bathroom, she leave the door open so that she can still hear Jisoo talking.
"They are your family." Jisoo trailed off.
"Of course... Not!" Jisoo shake her head after hearing what just Jennie said. She just got herself a very stubborn best friend.
"Fine. If you're not going, then don't. But I will, I already told your Mom that I will be there." she said and stands up. Jennie rolled her eyes and wipe her face with her towel then she step out of her bathroom seeing Jisoo who's ready to leave.
"Okay Chu. Enjoy yourself." she said and wave her hand motioning Jisoo to leave already. The latter just release a deep sigh and walk towards the door, but before she can step out of it, she said something that made Jennie froze.
"Your Mother really wants to be close to you, but you are really stubborn. I really hope that you'll give her a chance to be a Mother to you, let her love you, Jenduek."
"I am going now. Bye." she added and close the door. Jennie sigh and look at her face in the mirror. She smiled bitterly while remembering why she doesn't want to be close to her Mother.
"She left us behind, why come back now?" she spits out while staring blankly at her empty eyes.
I've waited for years for her, now that I already gave up she suddenly wants to be with me? Oh, no. I don't want to. I don't think I can give her that chance too, now that she has her new 'perfect' family I don't think she'll be able to give the love that I was craving. Not anymore.
Jennie thougth and started her day.
