Onika's POV
July 10,1720(3:15pm)
Madam's house
"Child!" I heard as I was outside in the garden alone, I turned my head seeing Madam coming in my direction fuming with her eyes. I swallowed the spit in my mouth making it dry as she held a steady goal reaching walk towards me as the sun shined on us, her hair moved with her while her dress blew some from her pace "Yes Madam?" I spoke shielding my nervousness and looking at her "What happened between you and Mr.Jones" she said in a slightly demanding manner as she came up in front of me looking down upon me "Nothing, why?" "Then why is he sad that you don't take his flower?" She spoke leading my face to scrunch up.
"Wha- I did, I just didn't say anything to him after you and I finished talking.." I replied and her eyes closed before she sighed "Go Speak with him" "I will but why are you pushing me to him? That doesn't mean I'm going to forget my goal" I said looked at her as her eyes darted in a different direction from me. "Go talk to him" she muttered before trying to leave but I swiftly moved and grabbed her arm turning her around "Don't touch me" she barked in slight surprise and yanked her arm from me "Why?" I asked but she didn't respond she just looked at me with a look in her eye that was very different from the one written on her face.
She walked away back to the community as I went back to gardening such as replanting seeds and watering, she's been avoiding me for the last few days sometimes giving me instructions but then leaving. Sometimes I'd just be around her and I knew she was nervous, she had a different demeanor some she's not as intimidating but she is still authoritative to me. This would really be one of the first times I'd actually touch her seeing she has never really been touch by anyone. I wonder if that's it, I mean anytime she was touched by someone it was with clothes on but just now that was her bare skin "Nika!" I hard someone call out and I looked up from what I was mindlessly doing before seeing it was Hilda "Yes Ma'am?" I asked standing up straight.
"God you're always in this garden, I came to see if you'd like to help with making the dinner tonight or rather help with the kids we need everyone tonight" she said smiling at me "Umm do you know where Madam will be?" I asked with a tight and nervous smile "More than likely it'll be working outside" she said moving her head side to side some holding her arms in each other as a breeze came through I smiled widely inside getting giddy "I'll just work with the kids" I spoke as if I was calm about it she nodded and went back to the people while I finished covering the seeds and watering .

"Nasir" I called out as I walked behind him, he turned to me with a confused look "Yes?" He said in a slightly sad and hurt tone "Can we speak please?" I asked and he looked around before giving me a sad nod. We went to a more secluded area and sat down "What do you want to talk about?" He asked acting oblivious "Well I wanted to talk about the rose, more specifically as to why you think I didn't accept it" "Because you don't even come and talk to me about it for three days" he said I sighed and looked down before looking back at him "I was nervous and scared, I-I'm not ready for this and we don't really know each other so no I can't accept your Rose." And his face fell "At least not at the moment.." I said and he slightly smiled "I can respect that, I just wish you'd give me a chance to prove myself to you" As I am trying to do with someone else... "Just give me time, I barely got here and I barely know my way around just just give me time" I said really trying to break his heart he smiled softly and nodded.
We continued to talk for a while until we both had to leave, I walked to the children who were running around playing and I saw Madam playing with some of them. I slowly made my way over playing with my skirt in my hands on the way with my nerves at a high and my teeth middling on the inside of my cheek, she looked up when I was basically standing over her with my shadow under her as she was bent over playing with the much smaller children. "Child" "Madam.. I spoke with him" I said looking at her as she stood completely towering over her me as the kids ran off "Did you fix it?" I nodded "I told him I needed time and that we could try it without jumping into anything" I reminisced "Good, now leave me alone" she said walking to the house.
