Authors quick notes; hi so This story is actually so long now and I am thinking of maybe wrapping it up and completing the book. I know how it will end (I think) so I just need to fill bits in to get to my desired ending lol anyway yeah I'll shut up and u can get reading, okay cool yeah enjoy mkay.
Delilah pov It's coming up to Ellis' first birthday and I'm thinking how we should celebrate it
I don't know whether to go all out party or just a close family activity or something? after all he is only one and won't remember how magnificent his birthday may be.
"Jesse!" I shout "Yes?!" He shouts back from upstairs "Come here a minute!" I shout
I hear him shuffle into the room I'm in "Yes?" He whines I roll my eyes at him "What should we do for Ellis' first birthday?" I ask tapping on my pencil Jesse leans against the door frame and looks around as if he's thinking
"You already know what I'm gonna say" he chuckles "Will a one year old want a party?" I ask "Any excuse for a party Lils, you should know that by now" he winks as he walks over to where I'm sat. "But we cant drink at our child's party" I say "True" he chuckles snaking his arms around me from behind.
"Why don't you and him do something together?" I ask him He steps back from me and tilts his head "Just me and Ellis?" He asks I nod "Don't you want to be with him too?" He asks confused "I just feel awful for all the months you missed out on all because I was such a pussy And didn't wanna contact you" I sigh "You've got to let that go. I'm here now aren't I? I've forgiven you. You should forgive yourself too" he says pecking my lips "You've gone soft" I laugh "Pfffff never" he laughs shrugging
"And I'll take you up on your offer" he says making his way out of the room "Have fun whatever you're gonna do with him" I smile He stops in the doorway and smiles at me before making his way upstairs

Jesse pov It's Ellis's first birthday and I'm waiting at my house for Lils to bring him over. I'm taking him to Knowsley safari park.
I see her coming up the driveway holding Ellis in her arms with a big smile on her face. I open the door before she can even knock

"Hiya" I say as I kiss her cheek "Hi" she smiles She hands me Ellis "His outfit is so adorable" I chuckle looking at him "You'll look such a cute pair today" she laughs looking up and down at my outfit. I'm wearing some light blue ripped jeans and an Adidas t-shirt like Ellis and of course with my 'be yourself' cap. I laugh and look down at Ellis "What about paps? We haven't announced anything yet, what if they see me there with him?" I ask worried "It's fine. They'll find out sooner or later" she smiles handing me Ellis's bag. "You have fun with daddy today, okay?" She says in a soft tone to Ellis. "Dadda" he says touching my chin with his tiny hands "Oh my god!" I exclaim "Was that his first word?" I ask shocked "It sure was" she laughs in amazement "You clever clever boy!" She exclaims to Ellis "Anyway I'll leave you boys to have fun!" She says rushing down the driveway "Wave bye bye to mummy" I say to Ellis as I wave holding his hand. She blows a kiss to the both of us and disappears across the road into her house.
I turn around to lock my front door and my phone vibrates in my pocket. "Hang on little man" I say reaching into my pocket as Ellis still rests on my hip in my left arm. I look down at my phone and it's a text message from Lils Text messages
Lils😍❤️ Ring me if you need anything, have fun! xx
Me: Will do, see u soon xx
I place my phone back in my pocket and walk to my car. I open the back door and gently place Ellis in his car seat and strap him in. "Let's go see the animals Ellis!" I exclaim excitedly as I sit in the drivers seat.
^^^^^^ We are now driving through the safari park and I'm trying to get Ellis to say the names of the animals.
Every time an animal comes near the car he squeals and giggles. He's so cute. "Is this fun Ellis?" I ask him looking at him in the back giggle and wriggling. He nods and carries on giggling at the monkeys on the car. One money rips off the windscreen wiper. "Oh you little s-" I say before I stop myself "Look Ellis, the monkey took daddy's wiper!" I exclaim smiling pointing at the monkey. This causes him to burst into a fit of laughter.
We have been through all of the driving bits now we are at the animals where you can just walk to see them. I'm holding Ellis on my hip and showing him all the animals. A few fans have asked for photos and asked who's child it is and I tried to pretend I didn't hear them. I don't know how to say it. I suddenly hear camera clicks and I look to my right and there is a crowd of paparazzi coming towards me shouting questions. "Oh god" I say under my breath trying not to swear in front of Ellis I place my right hand on the back of Ellis's head and try to hide his face on my shoulder. He snuggles into me and I run to the car park. More and more paparazzi adding to the crowd, it's mental, there's so many appearing. All shouting about Ellis and who's child he is. This is big news for them.
I reach my car and all the paparazzi are surrounding it. I kindly ask them to move aside so I can get Ellis in the car, they barely even move, still flashing their cameras and taking photos. I push them all as I try to get to the drivers side to sit and they all have their camera pushed against the window Ellis is sat in. "Can you please be respectful and not shove cameras in the face of a one year old? you'll startle him!" I exclaim before getting in my seat and slamming the door.
I start the car and hope the paparazzi will move so I can drive away. They move from the back of the car so I can reverse, of course they're all still taking photos. They just don't understand boundaries it's unreal. As we exit the safari park they're all still running after the car and I just can't wait until we lose them all. I hear sniffles in the back of the car and I turn to see Ellis crying. "What's up little man?" I say looking back before I pull out of the safari driveway. He wines and points backwards meaning the paparazzi behind us following us. "They're mean I know but daddy is here, I won't let anyone hurt you" I say softly rubbing his hand.
As I'm driving back home I decide to ring Lils. I press on the sat nav screen to find her contact and it soon pops up. I press to dial her number and it does. "Hey what's up? Everything okay?" She asks "Well we just got mobbed by paps. And I mean mobbed, like I've never experienced it that bad" I say "Oh god, is Ellis okay?" She asks worriedly "Yeah. Well he was crying just a moment ago as they were all shoving the cameras in the car and in his window. But he seems to be calming down now" I say looking in my mirror to see Ellis in the backseat "Am I coming through the car?" She asks "Yes you are" I say "Ellis it's mummy" she says I look in my mirror at Ellis and see a smile appear on his face "Mamma!" He says clapping his hands "Yes that's it!" I exclaim watching him in the mirror. "Baby I love you and you'll be home soon" she says happily "Bye bye" Ellis says adorably "Oh my days" she says through the phone in awe "We are only like 5 mins away so we will see you very soon" I say turning off onto a road "Okay, see you soon" she says happily "Love you" I say immediately regretting it as maybe it's too soon? There is an awkward pause of silence I bite my lip in embarrassment "Love you too" She says sounding elated A huge grin appears on my face as she ends the phone call. I feel so happy. We are getting back to how we used to be and I couldn't be happier. ___________________________ Hope you enjoyed! After this book is complete I'll write a Jadon Sancho fanfic probably
