Azalea

"Did you hear?"

"Hear what?"

"The school is holding another dance!"

"What kind?"

"I've heard it's a winter dance"

I couldn't help but eavesdrop in on the conversation that was going on next to me. The school has only had a dance one since our year has been here, and the only reason I knew that was because Draco told me about it. Apparently that was the same year he was turned into a ferret, he deserved it too.

I turned around to the two girls that were talking behind me and spoke up "there's gonna be a school dance?"

The two looked as if they had just seen a ghost. The one who had said there was a dance hesitated for a moment but opened her mouth "yeah, I think it's next Friday." She answered.

I nodded "thanks" I said plainly and turned back around to face the front of the class.

If there was a dance going on that means I would have to find a dress and a date. I don't think finding a date would be hard, I already had someone in mind. The only thing is, I don't know if that person had me in mind as a date. Honestly I'm not even sure if Draco would go to the dance at all. He didn't strike me as the kind of person who would really enjoy that. I've only seen him dance a total of about four times. He's kind of awkward when it comes to dancing, he tries though. And if he ends up not going, I'm sure Sienna and I could go as friends.

I focused my attention back into the front of the class. It was my last class of the day, divination, and I was ready to leave. I knew after what my father had told me I had to talk to Professor Snape and I hadn't had the time yet.

Professor Trelawney was going around the class, reading everyone's tea leaves. She was about a person away from me. She had determined the girl next to me had a pear, which meant wealth and social statues. She didn't elaborate very much though.

After a couple minutes she walked over to me and picked up my tea cup "oh yes, Ms. Culter." She sighed "you have a mushroom."

"What does that mean?" I wondered, leaning over to look into the tea cup.

"It means you and a loved one will have a fight, forcing you two through separation." Her bug-like eyes looked at me with wonder, but she continued onto the next person.

I couldn't help but wonder what that meant, not that I Believed In divination. I feel like it does have a bit of truth to it though. I waited about 15 more minutes for the class to end. And when it did I shot up out of my seat with my books in my arms. I walked down many halls and stairs until I made it to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Professor Snape's classroom. I didn't hesitate to push the door open, only when I walked in Snape wasn't the only one in there.

"Oh, Draco" I quipped, letting the door fall closed behind me. "Not sure why you're in here, but I assume you've told Snape what my father came here to tell me."

I walked in confidently and stood in front of the two of them. Snape looked unamused but Draco looked almost worried.

"I assure you he has" Snape spoke up "Mr. Malfoy and I were just discussing that. If you don't mind Ms. Culter we'd like to discus alone."
