Then shortly, barely a moment, Amari walked out of the room, sporting shorts that were a bit too short for comfort accompanied by a tank top. With a small towel, she lightly dabbed her hair with it to help it dry.

She casually walked over to the kitchen, throwing her towel around her neck to minimize her hair from dripping on the ground. Mari began to look through the cabinets. Nick watched as she fumbled around, going down the row of doors, and in the end not even finding whatever she could be looking for.

She turned to Nick. "Hey. Are you hungry?"

"Usually, why?" He looked her up and down for a moment.

"I think I'm going to order some takeout or something. We literally have nothing to eat here." Her laugh sounded frustrated, as she dabbed the towel again on her hair lightly.

"I mean--"

"I'm going to feed you, Nick. I don't care if you aren't really hungry because that's bullshit,"

"You didn't even let me finish. I was going to say we could get some wings or something," A bit appalled, he lifted his hands in defense.

Almost immediately after he finished speaking, she cracked an awkward smile. Again she flipped her hair cautiously before responding. "Oh. Wings it is."

He watched as she walked over to the other side of their island, near him now. She slid her phone near her, leaned over the counter and turned it on. By instinct, he couldn't help but look before jerking his head away.

So badly, did he always want Amari. From the first time they met, he always felt that it would be them together, let alone her and Zion. He wasn't jealous at all but frustrated that he didn't try hard enough to earn her trust. Though, he would never be disrespectful and step over boundaries. All he could do was admire from a distance.

Amari spoke in a very preppy tone as she ordered the wings, not very much thought into it because it's something she's done so many times before. She can cook, but it's not her everyday type of rodeo.

Then comes Zion, busting down the door yelling some random song, which causes Amari to shush him, which made him shoot a distasteful look at her.

"Wow." He rolled his eyes playfully before sitting down next to his friend. "Who's on the phone?"

"She's ordering some wings. Doesn't want me to starve, and I'm flattered,"He places his hand over his heart with a smile.

Zion squinted at him suspiciously. He then turned to Amari, who had just hung up the phone. She looked at him, with a roll of her eyes.

"Why are you so loud?" She looks at him with an annoyed glare, yet amused smirk.

"I didn't know you were on the phone." He shrugged, a smirk forming on his lips as. well as he walked over to her, pulling her closer.

Nick just quietly sat on the couch as the two flirted with each other.  He awkwardly scratched his neck before pulling out his phone, to find someone to text in the meanwhile.

The three were sorted throughout the apartment, each stuffing themselves with spicy chicken wings. One of three, who were asleep after downing the food in their room.
