" Its getting nice." My mom pointed out

I slightly turned my head to look outside. The snow was melting a bit and there was spots of the street that was darker than the rest from the water that melted .

"Um yeah, I guess." I sighed

She's been around me more than usual, making sure she attended to my needs, and forcing conversation.

"Why don't you go out with some friends." She suggested

"What is this foreign word. Friends." I laughed dryly

"Kym, your just so secluded."

"I've always been like this." I screw up my face " It wouldn't hurt to be friendly and social."

"I'm friendly, I just don't like people." I shrugged

She looked up at me confused.

"You wouldn't understand." I brushed it off

"Your just like your father," I rolled my eyes, " He was so sweet at heart but had this hard exterior ," she reminisced, " Don't tell David, but I think about your father sometimes... I miss him from time to time. I wish he would have taken better care of his health.."

"Okay." I dragged the word out

I didn't want to talk about him. At least not with her.

"Sorry." She quickly said "Have you heard from Thurston at all.?" She questioned

I rolled my eyes. Every time there was nothing to talk about, he was the last resort.

"Nope." I popped the 'p'

"Oh..Were you guys in love.?" She asked

I deeply sighed, "I don't know mom."

"That means yes." She laughed

I pressed my lips together in anger. Not at her, but the thought of Thurston.

"I hate him." I sneered

"Why."

"Cause.. He brings emotions out of me."

"And.?" "And... Cause I have to force myself to be mad at him." I sighed

"Yeah, that's the rules of the game sweetie. It gets no easier. Trust me

"

I sighed. A knocking interrupted our conversation. I didn't bother to move an inch . Deep down, I was hoping that it'd be Thurston but in reality I knew it wouldn't be.

Mom looked through the peephole and started smiling. It was obviously David .

She opened the door. "Bradley, its nice to see you again."

"Its nice to see you too Mrs.Bloomingdale."

"Come in, come in. I was just telling Kymberlee that she needed to go out and have fun with friends ." She continued to banter on

"Thank you mom." I strongly said "I'll be upstairs." She smiled

Bradley took a seat right next to me. I gave him a faint smile and he returned it . He had no knowledge of anything that happened, he didn't even know that I was once in a relationship with my stepbrother . I wondered what he thought we was after that kiss . I was a bit anxious to know what he thought .

"How are you?" He smiled

"Well I've been better. But I can't complain." I shrugged

"You wanna talk about it." He offered

"Oh no. Thanks for the offer though."

I smiled

"So..." He began to blush

My heartbeat picked up. Every time he blushed it was because he was nervous about saying something .

"So," I mimicked "I was thinking.. when we kissed.. I was just wondering.. What does that mean?"

I was confused . "What do you mean."

"I never done that.. Kiss a girl I wasn't already dating . So I was Wondering if you could inform me on what we do now." He stammered

He was just too sweet and kind. He hasn't kissed a girl that he was already dating.? This boy is a saint and I am the devil compared to him. I need to stop stringing him along.

"Well, its just a way of showing each other that we like each other..you know.?"

"So that does not mean we're dating?"

He pondered

"Mmm, no." I reluctantly said

Hurting his feelings was not my intentions, he desevered better. "Oh.. so are we still friends?" He gave me a little smile

"Bradley, I'll always be a friend to you." I smiled

He smiled back. "And I for you."

"Great." I sat back at ease

"Just until you realize on the hunk that you're passing up." He goofyly grinned

I playfully nugged his arm. One out of two fixed relationships . I think I'm doing pretty well .
