Niklaus had moved us to a warehouse, and Stefan still couldn't tear his eyes away from the black and white photo he found at Gloria's bar.

"This doesn't make any sense. Why don't I remember you?"

Boy. The Original Douche compelled you.

Niklaus echoed my thoughts, "You said it yourself: that time had a lot of dark holes."

Stefan shook his head in denial, "No, if you knew me, then why haven't you said anything?"

"I'm a little busy right now." Niklaus says, "Memory Lane will have to wait."

"What the hell is going on? Answer me." Stefan is fuming, and I feel for him too. There must have been an ulterior motif for Nik to just coerce him to forget him... some kind of threat.

"Let's just say we didn't get off to a brilliant start. To be honest, I hated you."

I scoff, about to say something about everyone disliking Niklaus during first impressions, when I am pulled into another flashback.

It is pretty obvious that Stefan is in his ripper days as he drinks feverishly from a random, unsuspecting woman's neck. I saw a blonde vampire join on the other side of her neck, gasping when I see her face. Rebekah.

When the poor human's body crumbles to the ground in death, the two misfit vampires join in a kiss. I notice Stefan look down at her neck, wherein a necklace is encased. My eyes widen as I notice that this is the very necklace that Elena wears. Stefan must have been the one to give it to her.

"It's beautiful." Stefan says of the spherical piece of jewelry.

Rebekah looks down at it, before looking back into Stefan's eyes. "A witch gave it to me. Supposedly it's magical."

"And is it?"

"It brought me love, didn't it?" She gives Stefan a long, enamored look.

For the life of me, I don't think I've ever seen Rebekah with this look upon her face. Niklaus better have some sort of sound explanation as to why he had to dagger her. I just hope he didn't dagger her for a long time.

Rebekah doesn't enjoy missing out on things.

Niklaus comes into view, tugging at his blonde sister's arm in urgency, "It's late, Rebekah, we're leaving."

He seems like he hasn't noticed the man he has yet to meet, or perhaps he's acting out on the overprotective brother role.

"Get off of me!" Rebekah shrieks and Stefan comes forward.

"Who is this guy?" He says threateningly.

"Stefan, don't." Bekah sounds worried for her lover, like he was more than a fling to her. "He'll kill you. He's a lot stronger than her looks."

I can't help the giggle that escapes me at the vampire's snarky insult towards her brother.

Stefan chooses to stand behind Rebekah, his hand placed protectively on her shoulder.

Niklaus smiles, "So this is the famous Stefan Salvatore I've been hearing so much about." He gives him a once over, "You're right, he does have funny hair." His smile slips off his face. "I'm bored. I want to go."

"Then go without me," Bekah is exasperated, "I'm not your girlfriend."

"No," Nik agrees, "you're my sister, which means... You have to do as I say." He turns her around, so both of them are facing the younger vampire.
