My eyes fleeted over to a few tables down, were Gloria's slim figure was seated, lingering on her hands, which were floating above a large tome on a table filled with candles. Klaus and Rebekah are sat behind me at the bar, drinking a noisily charring over each other. The witch is trying to find the location of the necklace, which in turn would assist her in communicating with the Original witch.
I'm pulled out of my train of thought as Stefan enters, making his presence known.
"You left us." Rebekah pouts.
I roll my eyes at her desperation and need for attention. She tends to look in the wrong places for what she wants. I hope she realizes one day.
Stefan shrugs, his answer indifferent, "Yeah, sorry. Retail therapy was making my head explode."
"Tell me about it."
The Salvatore brother seems to notice Gloria's movements now, and so he inquires, "What's she doing?"
Niklaus stands from his place, "She's failing."
"Mr. Sunshine is your nickname, huh?" sarcasm drips from every word that leaves my lips.
Gloria simply says, "It's hard to find something when you don't have anything to go on."
"So use me. I only wore it for a thousand years." Rebekah volunteers as tribute.
Gloria looks like she wants to give the blonde vampire a gold star, "See? Now this one offers a solution."
I roll my eyes, as if no one could have already thought of that, and Rebekah sits on the table.
"All right, give me your hand, sweetheart."
Stefan suddenly shows signs of nervousness, "She's, uh," he gulps, "she's looking for the necklace, huh?"
"Affirmative..." I say, looking at the far wall of the establishment in boredom.
After a few minutes, which included Niklaus seating in my vicinity and being shushed by me after trying to approach me in conversation, Gloria breaks the silence that washed over us.
"I can sense something."
I roll my eyes at Stefan seems a little bit, obviously, worried.
"Anta Cotis Syrum, Anta Cotis Syrum..." Gloria starts casting a spell in hopes of knowing where it is or who has it. I hoped for the location, for the Gilbert girl's sake, but hope is hard to come by these days.
Gloria drops Rebekah's hand and looks at Klaus and Stefan.
"I found it." I refrain from calling her captain obvious, and let the conversation keep moving.
"So where is it?" Rebekah looks at the witch expectantly.
Gloria chuckles, "It doesn't work like that, doll. I get images. There's a girl with her friends..."
Rebekah, "Yes, a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back."
I snort, ignoring the tensed glare the Hybrid decided to send my way.
Gloria shrugs, "Well, I'll have to dive back in to get the details."
Liar.
"So dive." Niklaus pushes.
Gloria continued her demands, "I need more time."
Niklaus gets up from our table and walks over and leans on the table Gloria is seated at, getting all up in her space.
"And space. You're harshing my ju-ju." The witch glares.
"We can wait." Niklaus insists.
"I'm sure you can. But that's not what I asked." Gloria makes clear what her boundaries are, not backing down.
