Part 16

Arianna's POV- Chapter 15; Your Words don't hurt me.

It's Thursday. I've spent this week hiding out in my new room doing homework and classwork. I also got a little bit ahead in some classes and I still go to practice everyday. My hand has fully healed and I am perfectly fine to cheer at the football game tomorrow night and the competition Saturday. Which is a really good thing considering I am team captain.

Mom and dad and Colton went to the school and argued with the principal over the fight going on my record. The principal called back later the next day and agreed that the fight wouldn't appear on my record, considering my scores in classes and my spotless record. 

Tomorrow I can go back to school for classes so I can work out any last details before the game and turn in my work. Silas called a few times and said he was just checking in on me and my wrist. That's nice of him I guess. 

I also found out that Silas is Cleo's boyfriend's older brother which I didn't know. Older brother meaning that Silas is a sophomore.

Right now I'm on my way to cheerleading practice. We are practicing from 3 to 7 which means I brought a protein shake for in between workouts. 

During practice we worked new moves and new routines for the competition Saturday and some for the game tomorrow. Soon it's 7 o'clock and I'm begging Coach S to let me stay longer.

"No Aria you need rest and strength go home and that's an order as your coach." She says and shoves me out the door and locks it.

I grab my workout jacket and walk out of the cheer room nearly running into Silas. 

"Whoah sorry." He says and winks at me.

"Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." I say and he chuckles and glances down my body.

"Eyes are up here buddy." I say crossing my arms over my chest and he laughs.

"I was looking at your abs. Nice body though." He says and winks running off when his coach calls him.

I turn around to find Jake standing with Candice glaring at me while Candice is oblivious and flirting shamelessly.

"Hey Arianna." She says as I walk past them.

"Hey have you seen Colton?" I ask and she shakes her head.

"He's in the locker room changing." Jake says indifferently.

"Alright tell him I'm waiting by the bike when he comes up." I say and Jake looks me over before nodding.

"Wait are you going to prom?" Candice asks me and I look at her confused.

"Prom isn't for another like 5 months." I say and she laughs at me.

"Prom is in a week." She says still giggling.

"Really it's already November?" I ask and she nods.

"Yeah I was planning on going I just need to find a date." I say and she nods while Jake tenses up.

"I hear Silas is interested you should ask him." Cleo says as she approaches us with Trey and Colton.

"Ask Silas what about Silas?" Silas asks as he jogs back from talking with the coach.

"Arianna needs a date for prom. Colton's going with Trey, and I'm going with my boyfriend and Jake is going with... Candice." Cleo says and Silas glances at me before answering.

"Sounds like a plan. I'll pick you up at 8:30?" He asks and I look at him and nod.

The night ends with me finishing up homework on my laptop at 10 o'clock with an incoming call from Jake...

I ignore the call and turn up my music as I go to bed confused and sad.
