The following morning, Annikah walked into Alaric's apartment, looking deeply annoyed, "My plan has gone downhill." She complained to Klaus, who immediately turned to face her as she entered.
"How's that?" He asked her, a small smile on his face.
"Your precious doppelganger undaggered Elijah," Annikah informed Klaus, who frowned in confusion, "Now, I can't go anywhere near them without having to worry about Elijah seeing me."
"Yes, that is a problem," Klaus replied, letting out a sigh in defeat as Maddox walked over to them while Katherine stood in the kitchen, making coffee.
"I'll be back as soon as I can." Maddox told Annikah and Klaus.
"Yes, do hurry. I'm anxious to get out of this body," Klaus insisted, clearly impatient, "And if you get hung up, call me. You know how impatient I get."
With that, Maddox left and Annikah closed the door behind him, "Where is he going?" Katherine asked Klaus curiously, holding out her coffee to him.
"To retrieve me. So I can get out of this bad hair-do." Klaus informed Katherine, not caring about what he told her since it wasn't like she could leave.
"Are you sure that's a good idea, Klaus?" Katherine asked Klaus uneasily.
"Why wouldn't it be? The full moon is nearly upon us," Annikah responded, watching as Klaus placed the moonstone down on the table, "I've killed the witch, Klaus has the moonstone, and the doppelgänger is waiting for the time where she sacrifices herself."
"Oh, I am ready to break this curse." Klaus sighed in relief, seeing as though he had been waiting for over a thousand years to do so.
"I can tell," Annikah responded, quietly laughing at Klaus.
"And why would you do that here?" Katherine questioned, glancing between Annikah and Klaus, "There's so many people that would try to stop you."
"Because we have to," Klaus informed Katherine, who seemed taken aback by the information, "It's the birthplace of the doppelgänger."
"I didn't realize that was a requirement," Katherine responded, a shock expression on her face.
"Well, how could you?" Klaus retorted, "You betrayed us and fled England before Annikah and I could give you the details, Katerina. But we did find your birthplace and we slaughtered your family. So I guess we're all cool. Let's just hope that Elena isn't as stupid as you were."
"Don't worry. She's not stupid," Annikah assured Klaus, "Running is the last thing she could do. She'll die before she lets anyone that she loves get hurt."
"And that's exactly what I'm counting on," Klaus replied, a smile on his face as he began to compel Katherine, "You can't leave until I tell you to."
