Chapter 6: The Extra Girl

LLUVIA'S POV

After school, I decided na magderetso agad sa tinutukoy na game shop ni Perseus.

Malayo pa lang ako pero kita ko na ang madami na tao sa harap ng shop. I thought last week pa narelease?

I turned on my phone but Perseus didn't pop out. Where the heck he is?

Shinake ko ng konti yung phone, hoping that Perseus can feel it at maisipang magpakita sa screen.

Kung kelan kailangan ko ng info galing sa kaniya saka naman siya hindi sumusulpot.

Anyways, I decided to continue my way towards the game shop.

Just like what I've expected, mahaba ang pila.

I think this game is really going to be a hit. Buti na lang talaga nasabihan ako ni Perseus tungkol rito.

I was observing things in the shop nang biglang may tumulak sa akin mula sa likod at nilagpasan lang ako.

Tss, how dare he?!

Nagmamadali yung guy na nakasanggi sa akin. He is wearing a white long-sleeve shirt with black scarf around his neck tapos naka pants ng maong.

For the second time, I took a look on my phone.

Come on Perseus! What the heck took him so long?!

"Hey wazzup?!" speaking of, finally nandito na sya.

"Wazzup your face. Kanina pa ako naghihintay sayo" I complained.

"Sorry my Andromeda. Ano ba yon?" he said 

"It's about the game." sabi ko saka tinapat ang phone sa shop na nasa harapan ko. Im still at the outside of the shop kasi parang sobrang sikip na don sa loob.

"Yup. Diyan nga mabibili yung device na tinutukoy ko" Perseus agreed

"But why there's so many people in here? I thought narelease na siya last week?" I asked

"Yung game. Yung game ang narelease last week but the device I'm talking about is kakanina lang narelease at nakarating rito sa lugar natin. Hmm maybe about 1 hour ago" paliwanag niya

"Tss, ilan daw nadala nila?"

"I actually do not know kung ilan talaga pero sa tingin ko naman kasya yan lahat sa inyo rito" 

"Talaga? Then bukas na lang ako bibili" 

"Andromeda Lluvia. Ni hindi mo ba naisip na baka maunahan ka ng iba. You know, madami pang ibang tao ang dumarating. Hindi naman mag-s-stay na ganyan lang karami ang mga tao"

"Correction please? It's Lluvia Andromeda. Damn it, Perseus." pagtatama ko sa pagtawag nya ng baligtad sa pangalan ko.

But come to think of it. May point nga naman siya tungkol sa pahuling sinabi niya.

"If I were you, I'll go inside tas pipila na kaagad ako. The line is inside not here" sabi pa niya

"Oo na" I sigh then followed his instruction.

Tuluyan na nga akong pumasok roon at may nakakasalubong na akong mga nakuha na yung device. Syempre nasa box pa.

I think most of the people here ay yun ang target.

Well, it is indeed an interesting device. Sino ba naman ang gamer na ayaw matry ang vr?

Ang nakapagtataka lang is yung itsura niya na nakaindicate run sa picture sa labas ng box.

It looks like a helmet with weird looking glasses on it. Glasses like shades that's more like a gaming vibe glass like that?

Then sabi ron,may kasama pang device na kasama yon then para siyang square na dvd player na dun mo pa isasaksak yung vr before ma-i-plug sa mismong socket.

Hours passed and Im at the middle of the line. Slow progress, but it's worth waiting for.

May kung ano pa kasing parang pinpermahan ron yung bawat buyers eh.

 I wonder what's on that paper.Siguro nakalagay ron kung may mangyari mang masama sa mga users ng kanilang device is hindi nila responsibility at hindi kasalanan ng company? Never mind, whose damn company would think of that?

Unless...

I shook off all that thoughts inside my head. Napabalik lang ako sa sarili ko ng marinig ang boses ni Perseus through earphones.

"Pst! I've been calling your attention four times!" tawag sa akin ni Perseus"Is there anything bothering you?"

"Huh? Wala" I denied.

He smiled at me."You know what. Excited na ako para rito"

"Sa game? Why?" 

"Coz Im playing with you" he replied.

"Nakakalaro mo naman rin ako sa ibang game. What's the difference?" I said.

"But you know it's different from this game." 

"Hmm??"

"I can reach you in this game" he said that makes me think.

"Di mo ba  ako maabutan sa ibang game?" I said then smirk

"Tss, that's not what I meant to say" he said then lowkey rolled his eyes.

"Then what?"

"I mean makakasama talaga kita rito as in literal. Connected rin kasi to sa cyberworld eh kaya naman kahit hindi mo na ako icharge. We're totally leveling up!" he said proudly

"Tss, ganun ba?" I plainly replied.

" Aren't you happy?" tanong niya habang ngingiti-ngiti.

Sa totoo lang, my really first reason why I decided to try that device is Perseus. I'm so sick of seeing him on the wallscreen and it hurts when everytime I look onto his eyes, nakikita ko kung gaano nya kagustong maramdam ang outside and real world. He's a kinda strange and at the same time weird virtual guy.

Another thing is, kung hindi sya makapunta sa mundo ko. I'll go to he's. Simple.

Napangiti ako sa naisip ko

"Of course, Im happy" bawi ko

Mas lalo namang lumawak ang ngiti niya ng masabi ko ang mga katagang yon.

But back to the line, malapit-lapit na ako. Just one girl ahead of me.

She signed the paper thingy na sinasabi ko kanina na nagiging cause ng pagtagal pila. After that, she was about to leave when a piece of paper drop fom her.

"Hey miss." tawag ko sa kaniya sabay abot nung papel

"Owemji soaper thank you!" she said with a heck of energy

I just smiled a bit to her. Parang schoolmate ko pa ata to.

"Btw, you look familiar?" sabi niya sa akin

"Hmm?" I said raising my right eyebrow.

"I think I saw you before..."
