Alice and I shared many small details with each other. Only simple things like favorite color and bands. I could already tell that we would make great friends since she was so smart and funny. Her sense of humor was similar to Ash's, causing my already fractured heart to break even more. I miss him a lot, and I prayed that he would find me soon. We were in the middle of a conversation when her mate broke into the room, and I swore I was about to die until Alice talked her down. It only took a few moments for me to convince her that I had no romantic interests in her mate, and she finally left.

I lay my tired body on the bed, beginning to feel the bond tugging on my chest. Alice was still talking, but the exhaustion in my bones made it hard for me to tolerate it anymore. She left late in the night, and I still felt like I was being ripped apart from the inside out. Cammy whimpered in the back of my mind which drew my attention to him. 'Yeah, I miss him too buddy,' I thought to him while curled around a pillow trying to pretend it was him.

I felt a sensation like static filling me up suddenly and turned to look out of the window. The only time I had felt this before was yesterday before the storm. I climbed skillfully out of the window and onto the roof, having done this many times before. It used to be to get away from all the noise of pack life, but now it was to get rid of this feeling. My wolf was up and attentive now, running circles in my mind ecstatically.

My legs straightened out once I got to the highest point on the roof. I knew I was glowing, but my eyes were actually closed. My body was charging, almost preparing to assist this storm. I felt the familiar burn on my wrist; it was the bracelet my father had forced onto me for tracking.

With more control over it than the first time, I slowly rose my arm to the sky.

This time a blue glow connected into the brewing storm, shining much brighter until the storm picked up. Wind whipped around me, creating that thrill I got from the storms I controlled. For a brief moment I felt as if I was flying. I was slowly drifting in and out of reality for a solid thirty minutes until the storm stopped in its own.

My energy was non-existent as I swayed on that roof. I carefully climbed down into my bedroom. I curled my exhausted form into the warm blankets and drifted into a restless sleep since I couldn't rest easily without Ash by my side.

The annoying, yet persistent, beep of my alarm clock beside my head woke me up. It confused me because Ash didn't own an alarm. At that moment, the previous day's events poured over me. I looked down at my arm, gladly noticing that the tracking bracelet was missing. Grand, I can get out of this place.

My father burst into my room at that moment. The door slammed loudly against the wall, effectively hurting my already sore ears. "Oh, good, you're already awake! Training is in thirty minutes, get dressed and come down."

"M'kay," I responded. He closed the door behind him, so I began to get dressed quickly before I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. Oh right, I forgot to actually eat my dinner last night. I ignored the pain and put on a pair of jeans and my navy blue hoodie before fixing up my hair. I jogged down to the training field quickly, seeing as I only had a few minutes before they began with or without me. And heaven knows if I miss the beginning of training my father will skin me alive.

"Alex! Welcome back," our lead warrior, and director of combat, stated, patting my back. I went to my usual spot near the front where I was surprised to see Winston in his position. I guess it was still technically before school hours, but I thought he had been kicked out. I wasn't allowed to think on that matter for long before the morning training began. After running about three miles, we began training to fight.
