I followed his directions, and I traveled to the pack up north. I begged them to help us, and even though they originally didn't want to I was able to convince them. It isn't that hard to find enemies of the Half Moon pack around here. "Do you know anyone who will help?"

"A little bit east, there is a coven that may be willing. Their land is large, so they also border Half Moon. Kinda pesky pack, if I do say so myself."

I walked away to recruit them in an act of trust that the pack would go to Georgia. Everything was going wonky in my world, and I found myself missing Alex more every passing second. I knew that I had entered their territory when I was greeted by a young, grumpy male that seemed to be doing guard duty unwillingly. "State your business," he grumbled.

"I need help, please. My coven is being attacked by Half Moon and we need all of the assistance we can get."

"I'll take you to my father, but there is no promise that he will choose to help you."

I followed the boy, now identified as the heir, into the forest. It got much darker as I went in further, and I felt my tense shoulders relax a little bit. It was calm down there, and I could see a few little children sprinting through the shadows. The wind hardly reached down there but neither did the sun, so it was sheltered yet kind of chilly. The short boy pushed open the door with a strong arm and basically shoved me inside of the small room. A man that was somehow shorter than me was standing at the front of the room.

"Who are you and what do you want?" he asked shortly.

"U-um, my name is Ashton, and my coven is having problems with Half Moon and I'm going around looking for assistance to exterminate them..."

His face looked thoughtful for a second before replying, "We will help, but only because I want to see the look on that bitch's face when he dies," he snarled with vengeance. "I'm Harry, by the way. Please make yourself at home while I get my coven prepared."

I looked around and suddenly felt a sharp stab in my heart. It felt like my insides were being turned inside out, and everything around me was getting blurry. I collapsed onto the floor and curled into a fetal position unable to handle the pain. My mind went blank, and the last thing I remembered before I passed out was, "Is this what it's like to lose my other half?"

I awoke to a pounding headache and a confused face above me. "Are you okay?" The leader asked me, concerned.

"Yes, it's just left over pains from losing my soulmate to the fighting," I responded and sat up. There was still a twinge of discomfort in the pit of my stomach, but I chose to ignore it; now wasn't the time to be a baby. I need to get that bastard alpha back for all of the monstrosities he's performed against me.

"It sucks that you lost your soulmate when you were so young, but she must have been a very lucky girl to have been with you."

"He was..." I trailed off into my own mind. My heart cried for his touch, his smell, the feeling of him lying next to me, and, most of all, his goofy personality that I had never gotten to enjoy without something ruining it. I look forward to someday soon when he and I can just relax in each other's contact.

We departed, and even though my heart was still heavy with grief, I did not allow it to fog my mind. It was a relatively short journey until we reached the camp, and I found that the pack from South Carolina was also there which made me pretty happy. They seem to be trustable.

One of the vampires that I had never met personally walked up to me. She looked like she had just lost a game of rock, paper, scissors and now had to do something she didn't want to.
