Chapter 2, part 2 ~ Broken Hearts

~Throwback {4 months} ~
"Raptor! Oh my- SOMEONE COME!" Teknique (Agent 2) shouted, dropping to her knees to comfort Raptor, who was shot in the stomach. Abstrakt (Agent 3) rushes over, getting bandages from his belt. "Raptor, you're gonna be o-okay, give us a few seconds." Abstrakt says, shaking. Raptor groans, and shifts his legs. "Raptor trust me, we have you." Teknique says, calming Raptor. The 3 were in a abandoned factory, trying to trace down a duo that's been threatening them for years. Once Abstrakt is done wrapping bandages, Raptor slowly starts getting back onto his feet, with the help of Abstrakt and Teknique on his side. "T-thank you guys." Raptor says, sighing with relief, as the wound already started to heal. "Here, take this. It's a shield potion, you'll need it." Teknique says, handing him a chug jug. "Thank yo-" Raptor starts, but gets cut off. "Thank me later. You have to drink up quickly." Teknique says, looking around to see if anyone was watching. Raptor unscrews the cap, and starts drinking fast, feeling a surge of power go through his body as he drinks it. Raptor finishes, and the group leads him back to the base. "Oh my gosh! Raptor, all you alright?!! I'm so sorry!" Raven (Agent 1) days, tears in his eyes. Raven then pulls Raptor into a tight hug, making him chuckle. "It's alright, bro." Raptor says, comforting Raven. The whole group stays there for a minute, in silence. "Hey, where's Velocity?" Abstrakt says, disrupting the silence. Everyone perks up. "I've seen her a couple minutes ago. Why?" Raven says, concerned. "Just wondering." Abstrakt says, suspiciously. "Well, we got a job to finish. Lets go!" Raptor says, getting his gear strapped on. "Alright, Agent 4. Agent 2 and 3, override the security system to the enemies's base, and Raptor, you will try to capture the enemy agents while I try to find Velocity." Raven says, gathering his gear as well. Abstrakt and Teknique nod in unison, and go to the desktop computers to log in. Raptor and Raven edit the base, and head towards the enemy base, miles away, jumping over spaces between buildings and using grabber hooks discreetly. They finally reach the base, and enter, with Raptor going straight, and Raven going in alternate route, trying to signal Velocity. Raptor wanders the facility, trying to find Agent X and Agent Y (Demi and Rox, aka the enemies). A crash is heard from a balcony above Raptor. Raptor froze, trying to not make any movements that may alert Demi or Rox (presuming it was one of them to make that noise). Raptor shifted slightly, looking up to the source of the noise. The factory was full of debris, with a shattered glass ceiling that surrounded it, almost like a mall, with balconies overlooking the main floor. All the sudden, a bang was heard, followed by a yelp. Raptor got out his pistol, and pointed to this direction of the noise, ready to fire. An eerie silence overwhelmed Raptor, making him more worried and frightened, tightening his grip on his pistol. Then, a bunch of debris fell from one of the balconies, along with a holler. Raptor stumbled back, almost dropping his gun. The rubble slammed onto the floor, surely getting the attention from Demi, Rox, and Raven. Raptor stares at the junk that just fell just a few feet before him. A slight movement in the rubble made Raptor load his gun. "Listen bitch! I'm not afraid to kill you right here." Raptor growls, looking intimidating. Then, a familiar looking yellow-masked girl sat up, groaning. "Fuck! The hurt like hell!" Velocity (Agent 5) hisses, grabbing her back in pain. "Found her!" Raven shouts, walking in. "Holy shit! Babe, are you okay!?" Raptor says, dropping his firearms to aid his girlfriend. "Y-yes I'm fine. I'm just, in shock.... I can't believe that I fell 4 stories." Velocity says, standing up. Raptor takes off his mask, with Velocity doing the same and rushes and pulls Velocity into a deep, passionate kiss, pushing his tongue into her mouth. Velocity instantly surrendered, and let Raptor take control over her, making her moan slightly as Raptor explores the inside of Velocity. They do this for 10 seconds, before Raven interrupts. "Okay lovebirds, we got agents to assassinate. Y'all can smash later." Raven says, half jokingly. Raptor and Velocity pull  away, embarrassed. They put in their masks, and join Raven on exiting. "They're not here, and this place gives me chills." Raven says, shaking his head. "Same." Velocity says, as Raptor holds her hand. Velocity blushes, and she pushes up close next to Raptor. They walk in unison, gazing into the distance. Raven comes to an abrupt stop, and turns up his headset volume. Raptor and Velocity do the same, forgetting that Abstrakt and Teknique are on the other side. "Guys! See that building in front of you? On the 8th floor, Agent X and Y are there, according to the GPS on their iPhones. Raptor looks off to the distance, trying to find the building that Agent 2 and 3 are blabbering about. "Follow me!" Raven says, running. Raptor and Velocity follow quickly, dashing past pedestrians. A old apartment building, which was seriously outdated, had a signal connecting to Demi and Rox, which meant up for no good. The noises of Neo Tilted really made Raptor wanna look at them in awe, but he had a job to do. The reach the building that had Agent X and Y's signals, which made Agents 1, 4, and 5 get out their grapple hooks, and hookshot onto a fire escape ladder, launching then upward to it. Raven reaches it first, followed by Velocity and Raptor. They reach the top, and kneel down. "I'll enter the apartment, you too wait out here just in case the slip out." Raven says, cracking open the window and entering. Raptor and Velocity wait, looking at the lights in the distance, hand in hand. "I love you, Raptor." Velocity says, nuzzling her face against Raptor's arm. Raptor smiles, and lifts up his mask to kiss her head. They lay there, calmly inhaling and exhaling. The peace was interrupted by the window shattering, and Demi crawling out quickly. "STOP HER! I have Rox!" Raven says, grunting as Rox squirms. "God damnit! You guys just have to ruin it for everyone, got you?!" Rox snarls, trying to loosen Raven's grip. Raptor dashes after Demi, which ran up the metal fire escape stairs, followed by Velocity. Demi is gasping for air, trying to block Raptor and Velocity from grabbing onto her, but they both are catching up to her at an alarming rate. "Quit running you shit!" Velocity yells, grabbing onto the railing for support. They finally reach the roof, which Demi runs to the other end, trying to get far away from Agents 4 and 5. Demi then slips over her foot, falling backwards. She slams into the edge, her head hanging off, she yells in fear, as she's facing the streets 10 floors above. Raptor rushes to her, and grabs her, pulling her up. "You won't run anymore, won't you?" Raptor says, cockily as Velocity gets tape. All the sudden, a foot kicks Raptor leg hard, sending him flying forward, falling on top of Demi on the edge. Demi squirms free, and kicks Raptor hard in the stomach, making him wince in pain. "Raptor!" Velocity shrieks, rushing over to him. Velocity pushes Demi, and grabs Raptor's hand, trying to lift him into his feet, but a force makes Velocity lurch forward, making Raptor lose his value and slip over the edge. Raptor freaks, as Velocity is the only thing thats preventing him from falling 10 feet to his death. "I got you!" Velocity yells, reassuring Raptor. Velocity pulls him up slowly. "It's interesting to watch you guys struggle." Demi laughs. "Fuck you!" Velocity hisses, as she struggles to pull Raptor's weight. Demi kneels next to Velocity, teasing her. "Want help?" Demi chuckles. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! Stop fucking standing head and leave! I don't fucking care!" Velocity retorts, grinding her teeth. Demi then takes something out of her pocket, something that Raven and the other agents were trying to get ahold of for years. The Plasma Ball, a piece of technology that looks so simple, but yet EXTREMELY complex. The Plasma Ball, once implemented in something or someone, can make whichever it possesses inevitable, and powerful as a god. Something that could change everything. Both Raptor and Velocity's gaze gets fixed on the ball, both in shock. Demi chuckles. "Sorry hun, gotta pick one to grab." Demi says, making an evil smirk. Raptor looks at Velocity with his big, beautiful brown eyes, knowing that Velocity would NEVER give him up for even the most powerful object. "I'm sorry Raptor..." Velocity says, with tears forming. Everything happens in slow motion. Velocity let's go of Raptor's hand, their fingers sweeping against each other as Raptor falls down. Raptor looks at Velocity, as she turns her back to him, grabbing the plasma ball. Raptor drops, watching his world around him twist and turn, the lights of the city blurring, as tears form. I guess this is how I go. Goodbye, Raven. Goodbye Teknique. Goodbye Abstrakt. Goodbye Drift. Goodbye Mom and Dad. Goodbye Sanctum. Goodbye Dusk. Goodbye John Wick. Goodbye Valor. Goodbye Velocity. This is the end... Raptor closes his eyes, as he feels his mask being lifted off his face, and the wind brushing against his hair and body, feeling as if he frozen in time, time that was so precious to him. Raptor remembers all the times he's had with Raven, like how they met during a battle royale tournament, and how him and Drift would always runs around town, doing stupid shit, living their best lives as laughter overwhelmed them. Raptor remembers John Wick, and how many times they've built forts high in the sky to dominate battle royale tournaments, and how John would ALWAYS be waiting for Raptor while the rest of the group walked away. Raptor remembers the sleepovers at Sanctum and Dusk's house, and how Sanctum and Dusk always fought, which made him laugh. Raptor remembers sneaking out to Loot Lake, and stargazing with Valor, and how she always made him feel better after being pushed around by his asshole brother. Raptor remembers Teknique and Abstrakt, and how Teknique was an amazing skateboarder, and that they always went out during evenings, and ride down to the beach to party. Raptor remembers Abstrakt, and how they always snuck out of class, only to get caught by their science teacher, and how they were always the funny friends in the back of class. Raptor remembers Drift, and how the endless sleepovers always made the two best friends tired, and how they would always ding-dong ditch their ass neighbors, and also how many times they've been there for each other their whole lives, either for emotional or for physical support. Raptor finally remembers Velocity, and how amazing she was. She always knew what was best for Raptor, and how much she made him fell special, and how much she completed him, only to left with him falling to his death. As the ground approached him, Raptor felt something underneath him deploy. A rubber ball encased Raptor, protecting him from impact. Raptor squeezes his eyes shut, bracing for impact. Raptor slams into the ground, his whole body jolting backward. Raptor bounces up, as the ball goes back down and bounces again, and again, eventually popping after s few seconds. Raptor falls into his butt, and looks up slowly. "Raptor!" Familiar voices shouted, approaching him. Raven, Abstrakt, and Teknique rush towards him, pulling him into a tight hug. Raptor breaks down. "I'm so fucking sorry!" Raptor cries. Abstrakt calms him. "Don't EVER be sorry! We love you, and you being safe is all that matters." Abstrakt says, tears welling up in his eyes. "You scared the hell out of me, Raptor. You're my best friend, you're everything to me!" Teknique softly cries. Raven pulls Raptor in even tighter. "You are an amazing friend, and we NEVER want to lose you! Remember that." Raven starts tearing up, burying his face in Raptor's shoulder. The 4 agents sit there, crying in a hug, as Rox is tied up to a pole a few feet away. The city bodies fade, as police sirens are heard in the distance.

I'm here. People CARE about me. I love Drift, Raven, Sanctum, Dusk, Valor, John Wick, Teknique, Abstrakt, and even Velocity. People may build me up, but they will NEVER see me fall.

It's 1 AM, and I'm so fucking emotional. I love my boys! ;-;
