"Dang!" Doonah Cross cursed as she fumbled for her keys. Losing track of her keys right now would suck. Root would be waiting for her next door to start jamming in his makeshift music studio space. The driver who brought her home today took his sweet time and barely gave her time to get her guitar case out of the back. Doonah had made sure to withhold his tip appropriately on the app. She knew these folks didn't get paid much, but she wouldn't reward a lack of kindness.

Right now, she just needed to go get the latest new songs she composed for them to try out.

Just as she finally found her keys, she realized someone stood outside of Root's door.

"Hey, G. G., you try the door? Root always leaves it unlocked when he knows we're coming."

G.G. shrugged.

"Dang thing's locked. And I left the drum kit from yesterday so I wouldn't have to haul it up and down stairs. Which I wouldn't have to do if the elevator didn't constantly bust. Stupid old freight elevator. That's what we get for living in a converted warehouse, I guess."

Doonah decided to give up on the new music from her place and help G G. figure out what was up with Root.
