Chaeyoung's POV
As soon as I finished fixing my hair I rushed out of the bathroom and headed to the doorway. As I did so, I heard a stampede come down from the stairs. To my surprise, my wing-women came just in time to back me up during my first encounter with the stunning penguin this evening. They seemed to have seen me looking expectantly at the front door.
"Heyy! What took you all so long?" I turned around to look at them. On my face was a curious glare.
"They all kept arguing about the no-drinking rule. We were also thinking of a detailed plan for you and your girl to get together. But you don't need to worry about that. As for drinking, you get 2 cups, shots, or whatever that you want. This goes for Tzuyu, you, and Dahyun. Jeongyeon and Nayeon can have as many as they want but if they get too drunk we have permission to take pictures and videos of their drunken antics. I won't drink at all because, even though it's tempting, I have to stay in charge of you bumbling idiots- I mean- lovely friends," Jihyo said to me while looking at some others when their name came up.
Nayeon and Jeongyeon high fived each other. Tzuyu, Dahyun, and I all kinda shrugged, we couldn't care less about alcohol. What intrigued me, however, was the part about a detailed plan for me and "my girl" to get together. I can't say that I'm surprised that they'd plan such a thing. Surprised I am not, however, I am absolutely scared to see what this plan holds.
In the middle of my thoughts, I heard the sound of a door opening. My head snapped to see who was there.
Sana was first. She wore a white off the shoulder frilly short-sleeved shirt, a pastel pink skirt with golden buttons running up the side, matching pink socks, and white shoes. I'm not a major fan of pink but Sana might just change my mind. She looked absolutely great.
Momo was right on her tail. She had on a white crop top, a ripped light wash jean skirt, pink socks like Sana's, and white sneakers. It was simple though good for a party. She looked ready to party as well since her face lit up as soon as she went inside.
Lastly was the one and only Myoui Mina. Her elegance is no joke. She wore a simply beautiful blue form-fitting dress. It was a nice, dark blue dress which would shine when the light hit it. It was similar to the ocean when the light hit it. She gave off that same sense of serenity as a beach at night does too. Her dark black hair flowed over her shoulders so delicately. She made it all wavy for tonight. I must admit, it's a great look. But, at the same time, anything looks good on her.
It took me a while to get over my initial shock of seeing the elegant beauty of the girl whom I'd fallen for. I realized that Momo went with Sana to the kitchen, they'll probably become as crazy as those on the makeshift dance floor are. Mina, however, stayed still in front of me, scanning my being with her dark, tantalizing eyes.
Mina finally decided to speak up, "Hey, Chaeyoung. I didn't realize that you were the type to party." She giggled a little bit. My friends all took this as a chance to leave. Jihyo patted my shoulder and I looked back at them as they went in small groups elsewhere. 2yeon went with each other to the kitchen (I can't imagine that going well). Tzuyu went to sit down on the only unoccupied couch. Dahyun and Jihyo went to the real party area, the dance floor of sorts.
"I really don't party, like, at all. I was convinced by Jihyo though. She said Sana told her about it," I responded, keeping the light tone of the conversation going with a bright smile throughout what I said.
"Really? Sana was the one who made me come here too. But I guess we both aren't used to this atmosphere. As you can imagine, parties aren't my thing."
I rubbed the back of my neck as I tried to think of something to say, "So what do people do at parties?"
Mina looked around at everyone in the surrounding area. They were all wasted teens doing wasted teen things. Some people were so intoxicated that they even began making overly romantic gestures to other people. I averted my eyes from that section of the party, Mina followed suit.
She looked at me and sighed, "It seems as though most people are drunk or hanging with their friends. But our friends are sort of missing and getting drunk isn't my forte." We both laughed at her last comment.
As if this was timed, Momo and Sana came over from the kitchen with drinks in hand. They carried four, one for all of us. How they noticed me here, I have no clue. I won't argue though.
"Are you sure it's not your forte, Minari~?" Sana said in an extremely cute tone of voice. She waved a cup in front of Mina's face to tempt her. Momo looked over at me and extended her arm holding a red solo cup that was filled to the brim with something. I didn't want to leave her hanging so I took the cup with a smile. She returned the smile to me and we both turned towards Sana and Mina.
Mina looked over at me. She looked down at what I was holding. The red solo cup. Her face relaxed all of a sudden as she saw what was in my hand. She looked at Sana and reluctantly nodded. Sana giddily bounced slightly and handed Mina her drink. Before the two walked off Momo nudged Mina in the side with her elbow. Mina looked up and Momo gave her a little wink before turning around and walking into the crowd.
We both just stood there, drinks in our hands, smiles on our faces. We would look at each other but as soon as the other noticed we averted our eyes. It wasn't exactly awkward per se. It was just...it was just a comfortable silence.
"So now what do people usually do?" Mina broke the silence to ask me.
"Well...um..." I looked down at what
we were holding,"It's time to put our bodies through mad abuse I guess!" She gave me a giggle which made my heart leap. She looked down at her hand and raised the flimsy, plastic, cup up to the height of her shoulders,"Cheers, Chae!" I raised my cup as well. We bumped our together and took a nice slow sip of the beer that was in the cup. Not exactly my favorite drink but for the party's sake it's gotta do.
As we were drinking I looked at Mina. Her eyes were closed as she look a sip of the fizzing, bitter, liquid. Even as she's breaking the law she's still beautiful. Her motions look so fluid, so perfect.
She put the cup away from her mouth and I did the same. Her eyes opened up and my eyes met hers. Her eyes really glisten. Can't believe I've never noticed it before. Something else that I didn't notice was the little beer-foam mustache that was above her upper lip. My hand unconsciously moved up to her chin. My fist rested itself on her smooth chin. The index finger rested on her warm and incredibly soft bottom lip. My thumb excused itself from the rest of my fingers and found it's way to her Cupid's bow. It slowly wiped the cold foam from her warm skin. The foam was now on my thumb.
She separated her two lips, leaving a gap for air to go through. I felt her breath, which licked my thumb and fingers, become shaky. She would exhale but only a little a a time before she shakily inhaled. Her warm breath on my hand felt like it was always meant to be there.
My eyes slowly trailed up her face. First they looked at her full, soft, lips. Next, her perfect nose. And at last my eyes met hers. She was looking straight at me in the eyes. Her eyes were glistening even more than before now. They held many feelings, happiness, relief, and another that I couldn't decipher though I know that I felt the same thing in that moment.
