Entry 36: Return To Me

The day was cold and gloomy,
The day you ran away from me,
I remember you packed your car with your essential stuff
You grabbed your luggage while at the same time leaving your baggage
And honestly I don't blame you, I contemplated leaving myself.
How you pulled yourself from despair was encouraging. How you left the world behind was outstanding
I can only imagine that first fresh breath of air outside of all of this toxicity,

I'm happy for you,

I'm jealous of you,

I'm inspired by you,

However, I miss you.

I pray for your downfall and that's selfish I know,
But I'd give anything for your return,
I'd give up the last of my money
Or have a child just to offer up my firstborn
My soul? It's probably already damned but I'd still sell it
For your return.

I'd greet you with open arms and what's left of my heart.
