Part 19

I woke up to see one of Tony's assistance in my room.
"Oh my god!" I screamed covering my bare chest.
"Morning Miss Tara." She said casually.
"What are you looking for?!" I asked.
"Mr Starks watch."
"He owns millions of them!"
"But you know how he gets."
I rolled my eyes.
"Please can you leave." I asked.
"Yes miss."
I huffed and rolled over.

I walked into the living room to see the gang.
"Morning Guys." I said.
"Morning." They all mumbled.
"Thanks for that little stunt by the way Tony." I said outing my coffee and he snorted.
"Nice surprise to wake up to." He winked.
"I don't even want to know what happened." Sam said cringing.
"Don't worry, we didn't do anything like that, and we never will." I said raising my brows to Tony whilst sipping my coffee. I sat down next to Nat.
"Where's Steve?" I asked.
"With nick." Nat said.
"That man will never stop working will he?" I scoffed.
My phone buzzed.

-Tara, come down to nicks office now- Steve xxx

I rolled my eyes and got up.
"What's up?" Nat asked.
"Steve needs me." I said walking off.
"Well, He is a 98 year old virgin." Tony spoke.
"Ew." I yelled.

I walked into the office.
"What's up?" I asked going to the computer where Steve and nick were.
"Rogers told me about your little 'moment' with the twins Agent Tara." Nick stood up.
"I thought I told you to shut up about it." I whispered to Steve.
"Sorry, but nick needed to know."
"Everybody, needed to know Tara." He paused after everybody. "We could've had the twins safe here by now, but you had to mess it up." He spoke.
"I'm sorry nick, but I've been trying to work it out."
"Work what out?" He turned to face me.
"Why they hate Stark so much."
"Yes, we researched into that. Apparently 2 of the bombs victims were Mr and Mrs Maximoff a.k.a their parents."
"Oh my god." I said in disbelief.
"We need you to go out there Tara and find them." Nick said.
"What, no I can't!"
"Why not?" He said getting slightly frustrated.
"Because they're strong!"
"But you're stronger." He said bluntly.
"Nick, I'll talk to her." Steve grabbed my arm and we left the office.

"I can't go out there Steve."
"Yes you can." He said stroking my arm.
"The power they both have."
"The power you have Tara, it could beat them over and over again." He lifted my chin to look him directly in the eye.
"She's much more powerful than me. I'm scared stevie." I broke.
"You're fine Tara, remember you're tougher than them and you're immortal."
"But just because I'm immortal doesn't mean I don't feel pain."
"I know, just please do this for us, for the team, for everybody." He smiled.
"Fine." I hugged him. "I wouldn't of got out of it anyways." I let go. "So when do we leave?"
"Oh I'm not coming with you." He said.
"What?" I said. "I'm not going out there alone."
"Too late." Steve started walking off.
"But st-"
"Ah, no no, your going." He ran off.
'What a child.' I laughed.
