"WELCOME BACK EVERYBODY!"

The dull air in the room drastically changed as Ms. Sparks enthusiastically greeted her students, clapping her hands together as she scanned the room. There was always a specific nature about her that caused everyone in a room to respect her, and could convince any team they had been on the winning side. She was inspiring and was constantly being inspired, living through her students, and art as a form of self expression.

One especially interested Audrey Valentine found her heavy heart to be slightly less so in the atmosphere Art Class provided. It gave her plentiful opportunity to redirect some of the pent up stress she gathered throughout the day, and put it into something that could not only benefit her, but others.

She sat toward the back of the class, with her head in hand as her brain spiraled with ideas she didn't love. The sketchbook page before her, was nothing but mere scribbles and the beginnings of ideas, that had been harshly smudged into nonexistence. Extravagant thoughts that hadn't been executed on paper as desired, and were cast out. It didn't quite help that there was an upcoming project that had been given days earlier. Yet here she was, undecided.

"What's that you got there?"

Audrey immediately shut her sketchbook, along with all vulnerability and turned to the voice. Startled, by the vicinity, she sucked in a breath but slowly tried to calm herself down.

She was met with two dominating blue eyes. The type of eyes that could command an army with just a simple blink, and seduce a woman with a charming wink. She couldn't fathom missing eyes like his out of the school compacted with duller-less alluring looks to them. He stood out. And that almost scared her.

"Do I know you?" She slowly asked, trying to gage him and his behavior.

"No, but I'd like to get to know you." He smirked, and she found herself mimicking his expression. "I'm joking, it was a stupid line... I just moved here."

She cocked her brow and tilted her head.

"Have you?" He nodded in response. "Well isn't that something else."

He shrugged. "It's alright. I'm not one for small towns."

"City boy? Interesting stuff, I've never been."

His lip quirked again - seemingly his favorite facial expression and he leaned in.

"Well maybe if you're lucky you might get to see all of the luxuries guys like me have to offer."

Bingo. That was the moment Audrey had him pinned. Hunky boy from the city, flirty attitude, high probability of being a Grade-A asshole. In other words - do not engage.

"As much as I would love to continue this conversation, I got a project to get on with." She said, sending him a final smile, that was slightly more artificial than the previous one had been. Boys like him only brought trauma and a whole lot of tears.

He nodded slowly, sensing the change in the conversation, sending one final charming look her way. As soon as she was out of his sight and his eyes retrained on the desk, he let out a low whistle and shook his head in awe. He liked this one.

Once the bell finally rang, Audrey found herself wishing she had more time, there being no progression in ideas since class began. As much as she struggled in class, she couldn't imagine finding focus at home, with all that was going on.
