Warnings: mentions of anxiety, and panic attacks

A/N: in this one, you're also Steve's 16 year old daughter. ps (extra sidenote): I legit feel like almost ALL my ideas for Marvel fics are just like SO dry and boring lmao but I still love writing so I just write them out anyway as something to do, plus I've always wanted to write fanfics for marvel and even though I feel like my ideas are just boring as heck I'll write them out anyway cause I know you guys like them so...yeah hahah. Anyway here u go! I actually low key like this one, so enjoy!

This was your third mission which you had to be taken home due to panic attacks. Lately, you have just been super stressed out during missions and just during everything. You had no idea why.

"I swear, the sky's falling." You say as Steve and the others help you back inside the jet. "Hey, it's ok (y/n). You're ok," Steve tries to assure you as he sits you down. He looks at you worriedly as your panic attack slowly begins to subside now.

"Yeah (y/n), you're alright. You're ok, you're safe now." Peter also assures you, gently placing his hand on your shoulder as you calm down.

You sighed once you got back to the tower and took off your mask, looking at it in your hands sadly. "Are you alright, sweetheart?" Steve asked you with concern. "I'm not cut out for this," You sighed as you looked at your mask again.

Steve frowned upon seeing you upset. "What do you mean? Not cut out for what?" He questions. "The whole superhero business. I just-I obviously can't handle it like you guys," you sigh again. "(Y/n), you're kidding right? I mean, did you see what you just did out there? You were totally kicking ass! You surprised all of us today, if anything this was one of your best missions yet, kiddo." Tony said, trying to bring up your confidence.

You looked up at Tony with a little smile. "You think so?" You question. "I don't think. I know." He responds with a smile to reciprocate yours. "But...I just feel like I'm so embarrassing. I mean I always get panic attacks almost every mission now, I-i feel like I'm the only superhero who ever does that and I just-it just makes me feel weak." You vented to them.

"You think you're the only superhero who ever gets panic attacks? I think we've all had our fair share of them on missions," Tony says to you, seeming a little shocked that you think that. "Oh yeah, definitely. You're not the only one, (y/n)." Steve agrees. "You guys, too?" You question.

"Tony doesn't like to admit it, but he actually gets them every second." Clint chimed in with a little smirk, receiving a glare from Tony. "I'll admit I've even had a few myself." Steve admits along with the rest of them. "Yeah, (y/n). And you know how much anxiety I have to deal with," Peter agrees with the rest of them, in hopes to make you feel better. You know all of Peter's anxieties. He's always venting to you about how stressful class is and trying to keep up with the missions can be.

"Don't worry, (y/n). It's a completely normal thing, especially for us. We all understand. We're constantly having to deal with something, and I get that it can be a lot sometimes. Especially on you, because you're a kid, and you've got the secret identity, and trying to keep up with your school work and our missions on top of that. I can completely understand why you get stressed, and sometimes it's ok to not feel ok. And we're all always here for you if you want to talk about anything, no matter how 'embarrassing' you think it may be. Alright?" Steve smiled as you give him a hug.

"Thanks, Dad. Thanks guys, I do feel a little better now. But, I'm going to be in the training room if anybody needs me, or wants to verse me." You smirk a little and teleport off to the training room to get started on some punching bags.

The rest of the Avengers just stood around for a little, thinking about what you were saying. "We need something to make (y/n) feel like a hero again," Tony finally spoke up after a while of silence.

"Oh yeah, definitely. But, what, exactly?" Steve questions, looking in thought. Tony and the others too thought for a moment, until Tony looked up. "I've got a plan."
