Jules came home upset from school one day. One of her best girlfriends had just told her that a cute guy in their grade confessed he liked her. Now, she was really the only friend in their group who has never been asked out or confessed to.She sighed as she entered the tower with Peter, teleporting off into her room. She laid on her bed with her face buried into her pillow and just cried. "It's just not fair!!" She mumbles to herself as she sobbed. "Everyone else has been asked out but me! I mean, I'm the freaking daughter of captain America! Why has no one ever asked me out before?" She wondered to herself out loud, burying her face back into the pillow as she continued to sob.
What's so wrong with me?? Why am I such a loser? Why me? She would think to herself as she hugged her pillow and the tears streamed down her face.
"Hey, Jules," She heard someone call her name. Her bedroom door opened and Steve Rogers, her father let himself inside. His eyes widened however, when he noticed his daughter upset and he stopped in the middle of his tracks.
"Oh honey, what's wrong?" He asked her with genuine concern. She only sighed and continued to cry, not saying anything in response. Steve frowned, feeling bad for his daughter. He came over and sat next to her on the bed, placing his hand on her shoulder as he let her just cry.
She looked up at Steve then began sobbing again. She leaned into his chest and sobbed into his shirt, soaking it but he didn't care. He let her rest her head on his shoulder and cry it out. When she was finally calming down, he looked at her and asked her, "do you want to talk about it?"
She sighed and used her telekinesis to grab the box of tissues on her desk, using them to wipe her eyes. "I feel like such a loser," she told him. Steve raised his eyebrows. "Oh, no honey! Please don't feel like that. You are definitely not a loser. What's making you feel like that?" He asked her, pulling her in for a hug. She began to cry again.
"I'm the only one out of all my friends who hasn't been asked out by a guy before! And that's seriously so embarrassing!" She cried. Steve frowned, rubbing her back gently. "I'm sick of being alone, dad! While all my friends are getting boyfriends I'm just here! I'm sick of it!!" She continued to sob.
Steve felt horrible for his daughter. He didn't know what to do. "Why? Is someone making fun of you? Is someone making you feel like it's embarrassing?" He asked her. She nodded. "Who??" Steve asked, feeling his blood beginning to boil a little. Someone was picking on his daughter. And that was not okay. "Myself! And the rest of the world, but silently in their heads when they judge me." She sobbed, taking a tissue and blowing her nose.
Her head was splitting from a headache. Poor Jules was exhausted and depressed and that is not a good combination. "Well, I'm sure not all of your friends are going out with someone are they? Name me at least 3," he told her. "Ok, Danielle, Justine, and now Kylie, and Emma and Madison and even Cathrine, dad! and no offense to cathrine but she isn't the prettiest, and even she's had a boyfriend and now has a new one!!"
Steve sighed. He felt bad for Jules. He really did. "Oh...well..." he tried to find the right thing to say to her, but he was kind of a loss for words. So he just pulled her into a hug and let her cry into him again. "It's okay, honey. It'll be ok. It's all going to work out. I promise. And you're going to find your Prince Charming one day and he's going to sweep you off your feet and you're definitely going to get married and have a family when you're older ok? Just because you don't have anyone now doesn't mean you won't ever find anyone." He assured her, gently rubbing her back as she still cried.
Her head was pounding and she was exhausted. She couldn't take being alone any longer. However a certain brunett was standing outside the door, listening onto their conversation. He knew it wasn't right to eavesdrop, but he felt bad for Jules. And he's always had a huge secret crush on her. Everyone else already knew this, except for Jules.
And Peter was a bad lair, so he was honestly surprised that Jules hasn't found out yet. But now might be his perfect time to step up and ask her out.

Peter was sitting in the kitchen doing homework a little while later, when Jules came in. Her eyes were all red and puffy, he felt bad for her but forced himself to get the courage to ask her on a date for once."Hey, Jules," he gave her a friendly smile, feeling his face turning a bright red already. "Hi Pete..." she sighed sadly, but gave him a smile. "I uhm...I kind of have something I've been wanting to tell you forever now, and I think I'm ready to say it." He told her. She looked up at him with an eyebrow raised and waited for him to continue on.
"I think I've made it pretty obvious these past few years but, I like you Jules. More than just a best friend. I'd love to take you out on a date sometime—but if you don't have the same feelings it's totally okay, we can still be friends and—"
Jules' eyes widened and the biggest smile took over her face. She placed a hand over her mouth in shock and giggled."I'd love to go out on a date with you, Peter!!! Oh my gosh you like me!!!" She squealed, tackling him in a giant bear hug.
Peter smiles happily as he hugged her back. She actually likes him back, and someone finally likes Jules! She let go of the hug and smiled at him, pulling him in for a kiss. Peter smiles and blushed into the kiss, kissing her back.
Steve stood in the doorway, smirking at the two teenagers with his arms folded across his chest. He had convinced Peter a few days earlier to ask out Jules, since this wasn't the first time she's had this problem.
And Jules loved Peter, and she was very excited to see where this was going to go.
