jennie danced with some random man, while keeping her eyes fixated on chaeyoung. the young man in front of her kept touching her waist or arm occasionally, to draw some of her attention over to him, but jennie seemed to ignore him. truth was, she wasn't that interested in him and was only dancing with him, since no one else was available. besides, she was trying to charm the new girl.

her eyes scanned the glasses in front of chaeyoung. three. there were three empty glasses in total. jennie was surprised she wasn't drunk at this point, since chaeyoung seemed like a pretty light weight when it came to alcohol. glancing back at the young man in front of her, she smirked before wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning close. she could feel the man's breath hitch, before he smirked in response, his hands resting on her hips and slowly running down to her thighs. she could feel chaeyoung's eyes on them, but that didn't make her stop. she leaned forward slowly, causing the man's eyes to close. she smirked once again, before letting go of the man and walking away with a wink.

"damn." she heard jimin say when she walked back towards the bar. "you were always a feisty one," he chuckled knowingly, refilling her glass.

jennie threw a glance over at jimin, before silently chugging her drink down. she looked over at chaeyoung, who was now tapping her long nails against her empty glass.

"not used to this?" she questioned, running her hand through her hair and slightly leaning against the counter.

chaeyoung glanced over at jennie, nodding her head in response. she rested her chin on the palm of her hand, turning to the side a bit so she would be facing her. "not really, no."

"not a party girl, huh?" jennie chuckled softly.

"nope. i'm more of an introvert and i'm not a fan of big crowds or loud music. it's just. . .not who i am. i prefer staying home, hanging out with my friends or binging on kdramas."

the older girl hummed in response, tracing the rim of her glass with her index. "i assumed you'd be a light weight, when it came to alcohol."

"everyone assumes that about me." chaeyoung giggled and jennie couldn't help but smile a little, finding her giggle adorable. "i guess it's probably, because i seem like the type that leads a good life, behaves and doesn't drink nor smoke. i do. . .have a good life, i guess. and i behave. i don't smoke, but i do drink, not occasionally though."

"i guess?" jennie questioned, raising a brow curiously.

a sad smile spread against her lips. "it's dull. empty. it's like everyday, it's the same routine. wake up. go to uni. study. chat with friends. sleep. wash. rinse. repeat."

well, jennie did think her life was put together and happy, unlike hers, but seems like she was too quick to judge her based on the outside. to be honest, jennie couldn't imagine doing the same thing everyday. where's the thrill? where's the rush? life doesn't always have to be the same boring one. you gotta take risks sometimes, because at the end of the day you only live once. in the end, we'll only regret the chances we didn't take. chaeyoung seems to live in a perfect glass world with her life being just where she wants it and yet, sometimes, that one perfect life, can not be as perfect as it seems.

people envied jennie, because everyday was different for her. that's because she chose everyday to be different. but sometimes, you end up growing tired of it, no matter how different every single day may be. it becomes a routine and you fall victim to an endless loop. things you used to enjoy before are just a dusty old memory laying in the back of your mind. you don't feel like doing anything anymore and you grow tired of everything. it's a loop that lasts for awhile and it's hard to get out of it.

"i see," jennie spoke after a bit. "in my opinion, life is all about taking risks. you only live once, you know?" she began, scooting closer to chaeyoung, their knees now touching. "if you want it, go for it. take a risk." she mumbled, looking over at chaeyoung. she looked absolutely ethereal under the moving lights with her beautiful ruby red hair and those captivating pools of caramel brown. she couldn't keep her eyes off her. she smiled a little, leaning forward a bit and looking at her in the eye. their lips were just inches apart now. her thick red lips were right there and jennie couldn't help but wonder what those lips would feel like against her own.

jennie didn't know what came over her all of a sudden, but maybe chaeyoung wouldn't just be another one night stand, would she?

"don't always play it safe, or you'll die wondering. you'll long to do what you want to do, because you'll want it. to act on impulse for once. to take risks. you'll want to see what it's like. and one day, you. won't. be. able. to. resist." she whispered softly, one hand resting on the side of chaeyoung's chair and the other one on the counter beside her.

she could hear chaeyoung's breath hitch as their lips slightly brushed against one-another's. her cheeks were now a faint shade of red. it wasn't much visible, because of the constantly moving lights, but it was enough to make jennie want her. bad.

"w-why's that?" she could hear chaeyoung stutter in response. an amused smile spread against jennie's lips.

"one word. curiosity."

and we all know, what jennie wants - jennie gets.

a/n: alright, this chapter is a total mess😪 normally, i manage to write chapters for downpour in a day within an hour or less, but this one took me five days, because i've been going through this phase - you know the one where you don't feel like doing anything at all? yeah, that. besides, i kept thinking back to fragile hearts and attention and although they weren't as well written as downpour, i. . .i feel like they were a lot better in a way, because they were giving a message. this book will also give a message, but i don't know if i'll be able to portray it as well as my two other books. i'm kind of forcing updates out of me, because i don't want to disappoint you all ):

anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter ❤️ have a wonderful week my chanels❤️
