Graduation

University life was finally over. My mom and dad attended my graduation. This was the first time I saw my mom again. We have been in constant communication through phone but today, we finally see each other after a long time. She was extremely overwhelmed that I finally graduated.

My dream was to have my own advertising agency. I took up a Business Course and some Visual Designs on the sides to widen my knowledge. I planned to get a Masteral Degree as well but while waiting for the right time to fulfill my dreams, I wanted to apply in an Advertising firm for experience.

My father asked me to just work for his company but I refused as I wanted to fulfill my dreams myself and without the help of others. I want to make myself successful in my own way.

But someone was missing on my graduation. Seokjin. He told me he will come and watch the ceremony. But he didn't came. I was disappointed as I really want him to be here. And the fact that he made a promise and broke it, he just made me feel unimportant.

My mother noticed my silence while we're on our way back to my apartment. "What's wrong sweetheart?"

"Seokjin said he will attend my graduation. But he didn't came." I sighed.

"Is he your new boyfriend Taehyung?"  Father asked while driving.

"No dad. But I like him." I'm always honest about my feelings.

"Just be careful son, okay? We don't want to put yourself too much in a relationship then they will end up leaving you behind." Father warned me again. I know I made a big mistake in the past but that is life. It's a matter of choices.

When we reached my apartment, i even glanced onto Seokjin's apartment door. I'm still disappointed on why he did not even attend. I even tried texting and calling him but no reply. I wonder what happened. As much as I wanted to knock on his door, i stopped myself. I want to made him feel that I am very much displeased on what he did to me.

I reached for they key inside my pocket and unlock the door. I pushed it open and reached for the switch. As I turn on the lights, I was surprised. My apartment was decorated with balloons and banner. And there, Seokjin stood holding a cake. "Congratulations Taehyung!" He greeted me.

I beamed. I did not expect this. My father picked up the cake from Jin's hands and he moved towards me. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer. "I really thought you broke your promise." I whispered to his ear.

"Of course I won't. It's your graduation. And I will never break a promise." I can feel his tight embrace. "Come on, let's eat. I cooked all your favorite food." Jin pulled my arm and bring me to dining room.

I was overjoyed. I never thought that Seokjin will come up with an idea to surprise me on my graduation day. It turned out that my parents knew about his plans too. That's the reason why he borrowed my phone a week ago. He messaged my mom and asked her for my favorite foods. He connived with them that he will surprise me. He told me that he intentionally said that he will come to my graduation and will not show up. He did everything well. And I'm so happy that he took time to do and plan all of this for me.

I'll be the luckiest person in the world if he will be mine. And I don't want this night to end without confessing my feelings for him. I really do feel that this is the right time.

After our mini party, my parents went back home. I then accompany Jin back to his apartment. "Thank you again Jin for the surprise."

"You are most welcome Tae. Anything for you."

I hold Seokjin on his wrist and pull him closer to me. I wrap my arm on his waist. He looks more confused than surprised on what I just did but I know that he already have an idea.

I lean my head and move it closer to him until our lips almost touched each other. But he resist and pull himself out from my embrace.

"Tae, I'm sorry but I'm not yet ready."
