Sorry for the slow updates! This one's gonna be a long one :)

Hermione was woken up by a loud crash in the common room. Memories of the dream she shared with Draco earlier that night flooded her mind and made her body go cold, shivers dancing down her spine, the pounding of a drum in her chest. The last thing she needed was to be paranoid because of a loud crash in the common room.

It was still dark outside so it had to be early morning hours; no one was awake. She looked at the bed next to hers and saw that Draco was still sleeping so she quietly got out of bed and closed her room door behind her. She did not need Draco nagging about her cowardice either.

Hermione squinted her eyes as she looked around the dark, quiet common room. Ron was still sound asleep on the couch, he'd always been a ridiculously deep sleeper so it came as no shock to Hermione that he hadn't heard that loud crashing sound that woke her.

She thought back to her dream and of how Ron was given the task of killing her. He wouldn't do that, would he?  She shook the idea of her friend becoming a killer away and continued her search for whatever caused the loud crash.

Nothing looked to be out of place so Hermione walked back to her room but before she reached the door, a strong gust of wind blew through the room. She quickly turned around and noticed that one of the windows were wide open. The cream-coloured curtains of the common room danced in the darkness, knocking over a few ornaments as it waved around vigorously.

Didn't I close that one last night?  She thought. Sighing, she picked up the shards of broken glass scattered on the carpet before the window.

"Shit! Ow!" Hermione gasped as a piece of glass tore through her pale skin. The small red droplets of her blood fell onto the carpet beneath her feet, standing in a shocking contrast to it's magnificent white colour. She sighed, knowing that it would be difficult to get rid of that stain.

Hermione shook her head and closed the window but paused to look out of it for a while. It was a beautiful night; there were no clouds in the sky - only a cluster of twinkling stars galaxies away from them - and the full moon radiated magnificently over the sleeping world. Her eyes roamed the gardens of Hogwarts and fell upon a strange shadow standing between the rose bushes.

Hermione assumed that it was probably one of the students or professors out after curfew so she closed the window, thinking nothing of it. As soon as the window shut, a bolt of lightening struck the earth from the cloudless  sky, lighting up the common room and revealing a stranger standing only centimetres behind Hermione.

She stared at the reflection in the window, it was a woman with black eyes.

It was her.

Hermione spun around but there was no one there. Her heart was pounding in her chest and her breaths were quick and cut off. She looked around the room for the woman but she was gone – that's if she was even there in the first place. Hermione's body shook violently as blood from her fresh wound trailed down her arm.

"What are you doing?" Draco asked tiredly. He was leaning against the wall, watching Hermione with strained eyes. Hermione jumped and let out a startled scream, causing Draco to chuckle softly.

"Don't do that!" Hermione hissed. She held her hand against her chest which pained from the pounding of her heart. Her throat was suddenly extremely dry – something was wrong.

"On edge. I see." He smirked and watched her regain her breath.

"Sod off, Malfoy."

"What's got your feathers all ruffled up? Is it our shared nightmares? And what the hell happened to your bloody hand?" He pressed.
