[ jimin finally feels at peace with someone. ]

jimin never knew when he started to like his friend. the two were childhood friends and did everything together. jimin suspected he started liking the younger around middle school, always feeling tiny butterflies fly around in his stomach whenever he came into the room. jimin couldn't help but smile when the younger smiled and jimin felt his whole world light up whenever he was with him.
then the younger got himself a girlfriend, and jimin finally knew where he stood in jeongguk's life.
he only stood as a best friend. nothing more, nothing less.
jimin acted like everything was fine, but in reality, he was crushed. jeon jeongguk, his best friend, his childhood friend, his first love -
will never be able to return his feelings, cause he was straight. and jeongguk wasn't too fond of gay people either or the lgbt. (jungkookie bby ily still)
so when he found out what jimin was, he wasn't very fond of his own best friend anymore.
and so jimin ended up alone.
until a boy named kim taehyung came into the picture.

jimin walked through the halls, black; ripped skinny jeans barely covering his legs. jimin held a stern look on his face and would scowl when someone touched him or looked at him.
ever since jeongguk threw him aside for who he was, he stopped caring about others and their feelings. he never bothered with people, but some he was okay with. he had an acquaintance named min yoongi and was starting to warm up to yoongi's boyfriend hoseok. hoseok was too cheery for jimin at first but started to get comfortable with it. the three would hang out at lunch together every day and while it was mainly hoseok and yoongi flirting or teasing jimin for being an 'emo' or an 'eboy', he still enjoyed the two's company.

lunch came by slower then what jimin hoped and it got even worse when he saw someone sitting where jimin and his friends sat at. he let out a low growl and glared down at the boy that looked up at him. jimin was quite surprised he didn't flinch when he saw jimin and just tilted his head, his doe eyes seeming to get bigger and bigger the more he looks at the boy standing above him.
"oh, jimin!" the said boy turns around and notices hoseok coming towards him, a shocked look on his face.
"i see you met my cousin, taehyung. tae, stand up and introduce yourself." hoseok cheered, and the boy called taehyung stood up, a shy smile on his face. jimin watched closely as the shy boy extended his hands towards the dark clothed boy, the same shy smile on his face.
"hello.. i'm kim taehyung, but you can call me taehyung or tae if you want." jimin was shocked by the deep voice that the small boy had, and jimin couldn't help but reach his hand out and grab the others.
warm.
jimin continued to stare at the smaller before pulling a smug smile.
"how cute." jimin said, startling taehyung, hoseok, and now yoongi.
"h-huh?"
"well, tae, it seems jimin has accepted you!" hoseok cheered, wrapping his arms around jimin's shoulders, making jimin roll his eyes. taehyung couldn't help but smile brightly and hug jimin, who stiffened and turned to look at hoseok. hoseok shrugged and laughed at the shocked look on jimin's face.
"tae here is very fond of skinship, so i suggest you get used to it now or else it'll only get worse for you from here." hoseok informed and jimin just nodded, feeling so confused. why was he so attracted to this boy? sure he was cute, like a puppy, but there seemed to be nothing special about the boy. but he still felt the need to protect the boy.. and he felt secure and safe around him too.
jimin finds himself hoping taehyung feels the same way around him.

and taehyung did. a couple of months have gone by and taehyung and jimin were attached to the hip. yoongi and hoseok were pleasantly surprised when they saw how close taehyung grew to jimin and vice versa. when jimin was around taehyung, he smiled brighter than they even thought he could. they would hang out at each other's houses a lot and even had sleepovers (mostly at taehyung's house). and jimin realized something...
taehyung is a big baby.
he cried a lot and wanted skinship almost every hour. when he didn't receive it, he would pout and ignore jimin until jimin gave him what he wanted, and the older wasn't complaining. he loved cuddling with taehyung. taehyung also liked colourful stuff whether it was clothes, accessories, stuffed animals, foods.. he loved it all.
because of taehyung, jimin had started to get more colourful things. he got more colourful earrings and even dyed his hair blue, which shocked just about everyone in the school but made taehyung squeal with excitement. jimin was happy that he was able to make taehyung happy.
everything was perfect.

jimin and taehyung were sitting outside, enjoying their lunch. since they were able to go off campus for lunch, hoseok and yoongi went ahead while jimin and taehyung decided to stay behind.
taehyung sat in between jimin's legs, his legs over one of jimin's while his shoulder lays against jimin's chest. jimin took a chip and fed taehyung one before going to grab the other one and feeding himself. the two sat in silence, taehyung listening to jimin's heartbeat while jimin just sits quietly.
taehyung looked down at jimin's free hand and grabbed it, kissing his palm lightly. jimin hummed and nuzzled his head into the younger's hair, kissing the top of it.
"i love you." taehyung spoke and jimin froze for a split second before turning to kiss taehyung's lips, taking the smaller boy by surprise.
"i know baby, i love you too."
"can we go somewhere after school?"
"of course, where would you like to go?"
"i don't care, as long as i'm with you."
"hmm, how cheesy tae~," jimin said smugly, peppering taehyung's neck with kisses, listening to taehyung's giggles.
jimin was truly happy.
