This message is to all my fellow amourshippers who ship Ash and Serena.
That had been my favorite OTP till date.
Now for the big news, a huge hint had been dropped about Serena being in the next anime of Pokemon in 2020.

Generally, the calendar featured picture of Pikachu and just the starters of the region Alola indicating that there had been no previous companion of Ash accompanying him.
But look at this picture, it contains the starters of Galar, Pikachu and Sylveon Shaymin and Vulpix
This might indicate that Lillie, Mallow and Serena may be the next travelling companions of Ash.
I pray that this should happen.
