Chapter 12 - The Playdate

Main Characters POV

I awaken to a new day. Seems I've been mostly fighting for my life and falling unconscious these few days... My body is still sore and aching, but the piercing cold is gone. I stretch and bend to try to get the stiffness out of my muscles. Inspecting the room I'm in, it seems to be a generalized recovery room. There's a through of water, a dish for food, though its empty at the moment, a pile of hay and cloth for laying in and finally a few shelves and perches. I'm guessing the shelves and perches are for climbing and such. 

I clamber up onto one of the shelves. My feet are not suitable for the round perches, so I'll not bother trying them. I'll just fall on my face. I hop of the shelf and glide to the end of the room. Why? Because I want to be able to flyyy~

Also I'm bored.
I do a few more flights before laying down in the pile of hay. The smell takes me back to my childhood. Laying around as a little potato Goblin. Blue laid across my stomach... My chest tightens and I bury my head in the pile. 

A while later, I decide to check out the Skills, Spells and Titles I'd gained. I think there's some I haven't gotten an explanation for yet in my old skills too.

*Skills that have not been explained thus far:
- Innate World Knowledge: It's me. Granted by the Divine to the Divine Sacrifice that is to be reborn in this World. Allows the user to access all known knowledge about anything, provided they've encountered the item/entity/concept before.
- Teamwork: Increases effectiveness of cooperation between allied holders of this Skill. synergizes with Leadership. 
- Hardy Digestion: Adds a percentile chance of ingested food that normally would cause a Status to not cause a Status. Current percentage chance: 12.5%
- Sharp Teeth: Increases Attack power of bites by 2.5% after Attack Vs Armor calculation.
- Plaguebearer: When active, reduces the effects of the Diseased Status, but greatly increases the transmission rate of the Diseased Status. Also adds a random chance to spontaneously gain a Diseased Status.
- Hivemind: Allows the user to join their consciousness to a willing target. The separation is on the users term, however. Repeated joining and unjoining is ill advised, as the strain could cause permanent damage to the mind of the target.
- Remote Body Control: Allows the user to remotely operate a severed part of themselves as if it was still attached. Synergizes with Hivemind to allow for the complete overtaking of the targets mind and body.
- Boon of Fertility: The user emits an aura that causes nearby living things to reproduce faster. Long time exposure to this aura causes ill effects such as: Infertility, fatigue and death.*

*Spells that have not been explained thus far:
- Withering: Reduces one Core Stat by a certain amount, stacks multiple times.
- Curse: Disables three Skills, selected at random. The higher the tier of the Skill, the higher the chance of it being disabled. Fated skills cannot be disabled.*

Titles that have not been explained thus far:
- Innovator: You've created a new kind of magic tool! Others with the Magic Tool Crafting Skill will look up to you.
- Sole Survivor: You're the last of your family after a great tragedy killed the others. Affects future evolution options.
- Boss-Slayer: You've slain a Dungeon Boss! Other Hunters respect you for your prowess. 
- Heart Eater: You... uhm. How does that work? You've successfully digested the source of the Magic Anomaly that powers a Dungeon. Somehow. We're not entirely sure how this will affect your future evolution options, but its sure to do so.*

Hoo boy. So... Those skills I got from the Rat King are all evil Skills. Or well, evil aligned Skills. How you use a sword and all that. Also, is someone eating a Dungeon Heart really so rare that even the Title doesn't know what effects it'll have?
