Chapter 33

Saeyoung's POV

After Y/n and I had our confession I couldn't help but feel relieved and happy. With Saeran and Y/n back everything is starting to feel lighter on my chest. I know I shouldn't get too excited but I couldn't help but think about my future. Something I couldn't imagine before.

I shift carefully trying not to wake a sleeping Y/n who was leaning against my shoulder. V told me to keep her awake,
but she's been through a lot since her kidnapping; even before then Y/n was pretty stressed. We've been through a lot together, it's nice we can come together like this. Even if we end up as friends down the road I would always be grateful for Y/n. I have a pretty good feeling things will turn out just fine.

I smile to myself happily. Suddenly from behind me I hear the sound of the front door creaking open. It closes, light foot steps following behind it. "Is she sleeping?" Saeran's voice surprises me and I take a moment to process it. "Ya, she's pretty worn out" I reply with a warm smile as I stare at Y/n's peaceful sleeping face.

Saeran then sighs "I wish she didn't push herself to stay up for me" I shrug my shoulders as Saeran walks down the small set of steps to look around. "That's one thing you'll have to get used to about Y/n. She always puts others first before herself" I state as I watch Saeran. "I guess so..." Saeran then turns around to look at me.

"So you two are .... together right?" Saeran's question comes to me by surprise. "When we were in Mint Eye... I had to moderate phone calls and messages. Watching you two flirt with each other was painful. Gave me a headache really" Saeran grumbled holding his head like the memories were coming back.

"Well... back then no" I admit, Saeran stares at me "what do you mean?" "We weren't dating then" "I know that you idiot! Are you dating now is what I'm asking!" "Yes." Saeran holds his fingers to the bridge of his nose in frustration. I get the sense I maybe pushing him a little to quickly to be friendly with me.

I frown, sadden that things haven't returned to what they used to be. I open my mouth to ask something but close it not wanting to know the answer. "You know, I still hate you" Saeran states, I let my eyes fall to the ground. "I mean I can't understand why you left me. I only know what I've been told and that's how it will always be."

"Y/n is the only person that I have been able to trust since I opened my eyes about Rika. You understand that don't you?" I nod my head in silence "but, I want to form my own judgement. One that isn't forced on me or one that has been spoken. I'm going to give you a chance brother." My head instantly snaps up to look at Saeran.

I'm met with mint green eyes and a soft smile. Instantly my eyes start to water so I drop my head again "thank you brother" I mutter out. Saeran gives me a moment to collect myself and I look back to Saeran with a smile, but strangely he was frowning with his arms crossed. For a moment I thought I had done something wrong until I hear a light giggle.

"I told you to go to sleep so why didn't you?" Saeran huffed, Y/n suddenly sits up snickering at Saeran "I'm not tired I was just... Uh resting my eyes?" "That's called sleeping" Saeran shakes his head. "How long have you been awake?" I ask, Y/n crawls out of view then hugs me from behind. "I heard your whole conversation~" "of course you did" I grin.

Suddenly, I stand up Y/n going up with me. She squeaks at the transition into a piggyback. "You're perfect for each other" Saeran says in a monotone "so weird" he adds "yep just the way I like it" I say proudly. "Hey, where's V?" Y/n asks "I think he was making tea in the kitchen." "Hm alright" Y/n hums happily "go to sleep I'm sure he'll be out soon" Saeran mutters turning away from us to look around.

I look to Y/n and she smiles at me in response "good night Saeran" we say in sync causing Saeran to shiver. I turn heading into the cabin trailing towards the bedrooms. Y/n yawns a couple times on our way so I pick up the speed. Pushing open one of the doors I enter the dark room.

At first glance it was just a regular cabin bedroom, but looking at it once more it seemed pretty cozy. Sitting down on the edge of the bed Y/n slips from my grasps and lays down on the bed sprawling her arms out to stretch. Pulling away from the bed I turn to look at Y/n "you know I'm not really tired." Y/n yawns the second she says that; I smile and shake my head at her in response.

"Come on" I pull at the sheets and she moves to get underneath them. "I'll see you in the morning" I whisper leaning in to kiss Y/n, but she stops me. "Aren't you going to stay here with me?" "Huh?" I pull back with confusion. "How long has it been since you've sleep?" Y/n asks "it's better you don't know" I laugh slightly, Y/n frowns taking my hand bringing it close to her face.

"Then can't you sleep with me if it's been that long? They say sleeping with someone you love improves how well you sleep" watching Y/n's expression makes my heart pound heavily in my chest. Thought begin to flood my mind endlessly. GAH! Only holy thoughts. Only holy thoughts. Only holy thoughts. God cleanse my soul of my dirty mind.

"Saeyoung?"

I jump at my name "a-alright!" I stutter. Alongside Y/n I kick off my shoes and pull off my sweater dropping it to lay on the floor. Y/n shuffles over making room for me to slide in next to her. Once I'm in the bed I pull my glasses off my face and set them on the night stand.

Turning towards Y/n I pull the blankets over us. Y/n leans into my arm "I never really see you with your glasses off" Y/n begins with a hushed voice. I turn my head to look at her and I met with shining e/c orbs. Y/n reaches up and touches my cheek lightly "can you see me?" "Mhm" I hum in response.

Y/n sits up and brings her lips to mine for a couple seconds. I grab ahold of her wrist before she lays back down "when were you ever this bold? You always hated every couple in those romance movies you wanted to watch" I state Y/n shivers for a second "I guess I didn't really understand what they were feeling."

"Andddd you're feeling~?"

"Like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. Don't put me on the spot like this!"

"You could have said love~~~"

Y/n drops back down on the bed hiding her face in the pillow "heh, if my face without glasses makes you this excited I should be careful" I tease, Y/n lifts her face to look at me clearly embarrassed "Saeyoung" she hisses. I laugh in response turning on my side to bring her close "I'm only teasing you Y/n."

"I hate you" she huffs "no you don't" I grin leaning toward her. Y/n tries hard not to crack a smile but smiles.

"I hate you even more now."

"I love you Y/n."

"... I love you too Saeyoung."
