For any of the new readers: this book is a sequel, so I'd recommend reading the first book 'the magic in music' before reading this one.
But of course there might be readers who think 'nah I just wanna see what this book is like', so for those readers, here's a very short recap of what happened in book 1.
If you haven't read the first book and you don't want any spoilers yet (or if you...idk...just want to go ahead and read the next chapter), don't read this part <3

In the wizarding world of magic, there is one school that always seems to have students getting into serious trouble: Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This year, there is a certain group of young wizards who seem to have found themselves into trouble before they could say Quidditch...
Taehyung and Jimin, two muggleborn wizards from Manchester and Ireland. Jungkook and Jin, two brothers born and raised in the wizard world. Namjoon and Yoongi, two best friends who live as wizards in the muggle world, and last but not least: Hoseok, who is new to the wizarding world as his mother never told him about it.
Before they even attend Hogwarts, strange things happen.
Taehyung is being watched.
Jungkook gets attacked by a wizard.
Jimin gets attacked by merpeople and is almost kidnapped by a strange man and woman.
The golden trio saves the day.
Hoseok loses control of his magic.
When they're finally at Hogwarts, they get sorted into their houses, some of the outcomes surprising and even upsetting the boys. Namjoon, who was absolutely sure he was a Ravenclaw, gets sorted into Gryffindor. Jimin, who was absolutely sure he was a Hufflepuff, gets sorted into Slytherin. Jungkook, whose family consists of Gryffindors only, gets sorted into Ravenclaw.
Then, Yoongi confesses a terrible truth.
The five first years, Jungkook, Taehyung, Jimin, Hoseok and Namjoon, are in danger. Yoongi's parents are former Death Eaters and have a new evil plan in their minds for which they need the first years. Of course, the seven boys want to do all they can to stop the plan.
Meanwhile, Taehyung can talk to animals and is intrigued by the dark forest. Which you would think would lead to trouble, but...not really actually? He befriends a wolf?
Finally, Yoongi and his older brother seem to be part of the plan and Yoongi gets taken away from Hogwarts. All the other boys go to save them, but a lot of bad things happen.
Hoseok loses control again – this has happened on the train, at Hogwarts, and now here – and even kills someone.
Jimin is put under the imperius curse.
Yoongi and his brother get caught by their horrible parents.
Taehyung, Jin, Namjoon and Hoseok are then transported to an abandoned house in the middle of the woods by portkey. They fight off the wizard who brought them there, go to the nearest town and get help to get back to Hogwarts.
When they arrive at Hogwarts, the teachers (including Neville, yay!) immediately take action and go to save the other kids.
In the end, Yoongi's parents, the Mins, are gone.
And still, no one knows what they were planning.
Have they given up...
...or will they come back?
