Thank you so much for finding my Bleach story Hopelessly Devoted to You. I just want to say right away that I thank you all for your support in reading this and it means a lot to me! I appreciate all the motivation you have all given me to write this Bleach story and its been quite a long journey. This book wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for your motivation and support for me and it's hard for me to come up with words of how I feel as I write this to you T^T. I've dedicated HOURS to writing this for you all and I'm happy to share it with you after all the work put into it. Before you start reading here is a list of a few Japanese words and Bleach phrases that will appear in this story with English translations for any that need it. :)
Hai- yes
Kanji- A system of Japanese writing
Haori- Captain's white coat
Hakama- Part of tradional Japanese clothing. They are tied at the waist and fall approximately to the ankles. (The trousers/pants)
Bleach phrases
Senkaimon- (World Penetration Gate) The dimensional gateway which Shinigami use to enter and leave Soul Society
Seireitei- A circular town with four main entrances, ten days walk apart, each guarded by one of the Gatekeepers. This is where most of the main story will take place and is where the 13 court guard squads reside.
Rukongai- A residential area that is divided into 320 districts outside of the Seireitei. (80 in the North,80 in the west, etc.)
Shinigami (Soul Reaper) - Unearthly beings living in a world ruled by a different logic than the World of the Living.
Zanpakutou- (Soul-Cutter Sword) The main weapon of the Shinigami.
Garganta- A featureless black void connecting Hueco Mundo to the other worlds.
Hueco Mundo- (Spanish for Hollow World) The dimension in which Hollows and Arrancars reside.
Kidō- A form of shinigami combat based on advanced spells.
Shunpo (Flash steps)- A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow.
Hollow- Former deceased human souls who lose their hearts to despair or regret, or they remain in the Human World for too long.
Arrancar- A group of Hollows that gained similar powers to that of a Shinigami by removing their masks.
Espada- Top-ranked Arrancar
Fraccion- Arrancar that serve a specific Espada
Sonido- High-speed movement technique of the Arrancar
Cero- (Doom blast) Concentrated Spiritual energy
Dangai- The corridor dimension that connects Soul Society and the Human World.
Shikai- First upgraded form of a Zanpakutou
Bankai- (Final Release) The second and final form of a Zanpakutou
Suffixes
Kun- A suffix; usually goes after a boy's name.
San- A suffix; can be put after any name indicating respect.
Chan- A suffix; usually used after a girl's name. It can also be used for young children, or someone you are close to.
Sama- A suffix, indicating respect for someone who is of a higher ranking.
