Sorry to keep you waiting
Once I entered the carriage, I was met with whistles.
"You look so different! I think this is the most femenine I've ever seen you." Hanji announced as I sat opposite Erwin.
"I could say the same about you" I replied taking in the grey glittery jumpsuit she had on with minimalistic jewelry and her hair down.
It was like looking at a hanji from a parallel universe or something.
"You really do look great Y/n. Isn't that right, Levi?" Erwin questioned giving an innocent smile to combat Levi's glare.
The black haired man looked at me and his expression softened.
"Yeah. You clean up better than I expected."
"How sweet. Though the same thing could be said about you corporal." I paused with a smile "never thought you could switch off your foul mouth. "
He growled under his breath and rolled his eyes as Hanji howled.
"You're going to have to deal with it. We're stuck together for the duration of the ball." I mused and he sighed.
"I can live with that." I rose a brow at his drastic change.
Probably having a mid life crisis or something.
"At least you're semi fucking competant." Aand he's back.
"Levi..." Erwin warned so the raven haired man cleared his throat and, painfully muttered through his teeth.
"And it's an honour to be accompanied by such a beautiful date." I snorted out a laugh.
Maybe tonight would be fun after all.
We soon reached the castle, Erwin and Hanji left through the left side. Levi hopped out first and held his hand to me in annoyance.
"Come on." I rose a brow but gently took it and he eased me down the steps before closing the door.
I then took his arm.
"Im on my best behaviour." He whispered "The unicorn fuckers hate me after the last glorified party."
"It'll be fine." I reassured as we entered through the large mahogany doors "you're with me. I know how to escape them."
"You mean you knew. Everybody knows of the corporal that survived the land beyond the walls. You're a hero to a lot of people. Who knew survival instincts were all it took." Rolling my eyes at him, we made our way to the staircase.
"Introducing corporal Levi and Corporal L/n!" We walked silently down the stairs, i tried super hard not to trip and make a complete fool of myself.
Once the next people were announced, we headed straight to the sidelines where Hanji and Erwin were giggling and whispering to each other.
"Ahh, they looked like a real couple didn't they~" I rolled my eyes and Levi moved to create a little more distance between us. Unhooking our arms in the process.
I took that moment to appreciate the grandeur of the room. The high painted ceiling right down to the dark wooden floor with wear marks from the heavy footed guests of previous years.
"Y/n?" I looked at Erwin in confusion. He in return chuckled a little.
"I was just asking if you still remember your dance lessons?" I nodded simply remembering when I danced with my brother and father.
