Freya walked to her room. Tom was terrifying, slightly intriguing, and very good looking, but terrifying. She pulled on her casual dinner wear. Of course, casual to her meant blue chiffon dress.

The bodice gripped her figure until it reached her waist where it let out and reached just before the floor. She pulled on the sapphire necklace given to her by the Rosiers for her seventeenth birthday. It was probably the most beautiful piece of jeweery that she owned. And the sapphires matched her eyes perfectly.

She pulled her hair up into an elegant top knot, very trendy for the times. She put on gloves and applied makeup. She enjoyed wearing makeup and rather enjoyed her lifestyle. It was stable. She liked having something to rely on. Despite all the treats of marriages of course. Some day she would make her own fortune. She liked the stability.

She walked out of her room and into the lavish Malfoy dining hall. It was elegantly decorated and purebloods from all over filled the room. Each table held a rather impressive violet centrepiece, and every place was set with only the best silver. If Freya had not known better, she would say that this was a wedding.

She took her seat beside her cousin. Her favourite cousin, and her second best friend in the world, second to Candace of course, her friend from Canada. She took her place next to Abraxas, and noted that his betrothed, Anastasia Dolohov was seated next to him.

"You look lovely tonight, Ana." Said Freya, looking at the witch's deep green dress which broght out the subtle green tints in Ana's own blue eyes.

"Thank you." Said Ana, she always had been overly polite, it did not take much for her to open p though.

"How is Hogwarts treating you?" She questioned politely, knowing full well what the answer would be. Freya touched some of the shiny silverwear momentarily distracted by the way it shone in the light.

"Good. As you know I practically run the gossip there." She said boastfully, recapturing Freya's attention.

"Yes, of course, very impressive I might add. So what is the latest and greatest Hogwarts scandal?" Said Freya.

She knew full well how stereotypical it was to enjoy gossiping, but she liked it, almost as much as Abraxas loved gossip.

"Well, you know Rose Haltwell?" Asked Ana
