Piper POV
The elevator doors finally open and Alex and I rush to the room where Nicky was held.
We open the door and immediately see Nicky.
"Christ you look dead sis. What the hell were you thinking?" Alex says
"Ah eh yeah the fucker really put me back in my paces" Nicky responded
Nicky says while trying to laugh but ends up coughing instead.
"Ok ok slow down please. You were just shot."
"Yes! Listen to the lady she's right." A doctor says while coming into the room.
"Ok so who is Alex Vause?" The doctor ask
"Me. I'm Alex Vause."
"Of course! I knew I recognized you from somewhere. You two were here a few months ago when miss..?" The doctor says trying to remember my name.
"Piper Vause-Chapman"
"Yes! Piper Chapman was your name at the time, and Alex Vause. Oh and I see you two made it official. Well congratulations I wish you two the most healthy and loving marriage." Doctor Shoeman says
"I'm sorry but how do you know us? I mean I know we've taken multiple trips up here but just to be sure.." Alex says confused
"Oh yeah. Right! Um you Vause were held at gun point and choked to within a inch of your life which landed you in here."
Doctor Shoeman says firmly
"Oh right." Alex responds
Doctor Shoeman turns his attention to Nicky.
"Well! How are you feeling? Better I assume." He says while crossing his fingers.
"Happy to be alive that's for certain. Eh ah I mean what would these two do without me here patrolling their every move?" Nicky says jokingly.
"Ahh that's funny. If you don't mind me asking...um where did you guys meet?" The doctor asked
Nicky looks at me and Alex and then proceeded to speak.
"Litchfield prison in New York. Yeah...rough point in life for me and my two lovely friends over here." She says smirking
"Oh well no judgment! Everyone hits the ground once in their life. Well the surgeon who completed your procedure confirmed that you were all patched up and breathing properly so I guess that means you should be able to check out in the morning."
"Ok great! Thank you Doctor Shoeman really it means a lot." Alex says
Doctor Shoeman leaves the room.
Alex gives Nicky a death stare.
"Oh fuck what did I do?" Nicky banters
"What did you do? Are you fucking kidding me? You tried to fight off a gun!" Alex yells
"Eh ah he didn't have a gun at first!" Nicky says with a high pitched voice
"But he had used it in the end and what if that was YOUR end! Like what if you wouldn't have recovered. I can't- I can't loose you Nicky...I can't loose neither of you" Alex says starting to cry
"Babe it's ok we're both here. And we're going to be ok. Ok?" I try to calm her
"It's just that you two are all I have left and if that's just erased then what am I going to do?"
"Don't get soft on me Vause your the tough one out of the group." Nicky says laughing
Alex and I gather around Nicky and give her a hug. Suddenly my phone rings.
"Hello this is piper Vause-Chapman... yes! That'll be great. Ok see you then."
"What?" Alex ask
"Some people want to interview me about my memoir."
