New years

Alex POV

*5 4 3 2 1 happy New Years ! Pop! *

"Happy New Years babe" I say while kissing her.

"You too! Hey um could you grab the other bottle of champagne" piper says while pointing

"I uhh I gotta say this has been one hell of a year eh. I mean really look all the shit that's been accomplished. " says Nicky

"Right! I got the love of my life as a wife and you Nicky my dear friend has been that extra light in our life. Thank you honestly." Piper responds

As I make my way back over to them I hear a knock on the door. I hand to champagne to Nicky and check to see who's at the door.

As I open the door I see a familiar face.

"You're a hard person to track Vause. "

I look back at piper and Nicky to see if they saw who was at the door. I then step outside.

"What the fuck are you doing at my house !? Excuse me for my ignorance but I'm sure no one invited you!"

"I come bearing bad news."

"What the fuck are you talking about!?"

"Did you forget that I knew head guard back at max while you were on your vacation in Ohio? Yeah that's right your precious Chapman wasn't supposed to get out early. And I have proof right here."

"McCullough if you don't leave!"

"But don't you want to see the proof?"

She pulls out her phone and shows me security footage of a guard knocking days off of Piper's sentence.

"Why are you doing this? It's New Years and piper and I have been doing great. Can't you see that?" I say while yelling

This caused piper and Nicky to join us outside.

"What's going on? Why is she here? Alex.."

"Call me when you want to finish our conversation." McCullough says while leaving.

Her car pulls off leaving piper broken and Nicky confused. Piper runs back into the living room. Nicky follows us.

"Why was she here Alex?" Piper says growing angry.

"It's complicated, trust me you wouldn't believe me If I told you." I responded

"Why wouldn't I Alex you're my wife! I can't believe I'm about to ask you this... are you fucking her?" Says piper

" oh come on pipes seriously!? You think I would do something like that after all of the shit we've been through! You think now is the time I'd choose to walk out on our marriage? You think I'd do that to you?"

"Eh Um I see some pretty trees outside I'm going to go stare at one or climb up it" Nicky then starts to leave the house.

"Alex just tell me why she was here."

"I can't piper. I'm so sorry pipes."

She shoves me out of her way and takes off in her car. I look down at the phone number McCullough handed me and I call it.

"Meet me at spring hill suites near your house." McCullough hangs up the phone.

"I know a crazy ex when I see one and that's yours. There's no way I'm letting your marriage fall apart because some sycophants can't let go. So where are we going?" Said Nicky

"Christ Nicky you can't just creep on people like that....Spring Hill suites."

"Okay mission approaching!" Nicky yells
