'Maya...Maya' I heard a faint voice getting louder and found Zain looking around for me.

'Zain' I called him and he suddenly looked in my direction, making his way towards me near the poolside.

'Where were you? I was looking everywhere for you.' The wariness in his eyes slowly disappeared when he reached out to me, securing his hands around my arms softly.

'I was taking to Zeeshan Bhai, he delayed his trip only so he could attend our reception...he is leaving tomorrow' I told him. The reception party turned out great, we were able to invite almost everyone that we knew and Zain's staff also came, including Bisma who remained distant towards me but at least kept herself from giving me nasty glares.

'I am here Zain' I added as I gently patted his hand.

'Sorry, I just get worried when you leave my sight suddenly' He smiled at the people passing by who looked at us as with admiration. They had no idea what challenges we went through to be able to stand here together.

'I know, let's go back okay?' I led him back to the table where our families were sitting together. We wanted our reception to feel like a big get together and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves at the party.

'Where is Anum?' I asked at the table when I noticed her absence.

'I think she went to the washroom' Ramsha told me before joining her friends at another table.

'I'll be back' I told Zain and went to the washroom. I spotted Anum coming out of the washroom, wiping her face. As I got closer to her, I realized that she was crying.

'What happened?' I rushed, looking around to see if anything or anyone was responsible for causing her harm.

'I am okay, let's go' She nodded, avoiding making eye contact with me.

'What aren't you telling me Anum?' I stopped her from leaving.

'Okay fine, we'll talk about it later' I said to her when she stood quietly, refusing to answer my question.

We walked back to the table and Zain instantly sensed that something was wrong. When he looked at me to explain what was wrong I told him everything was fine. He wasn't convinced but didn't push for details which I appreciated.

'Where are you going?' Zain asked me after we reached home after the reception party and I decided to check up on Anum.

'I am just going to see Anum for a bit, I'll be back soon' I informed him.

'Do you want me to talk to her?' His question surprised me. It was so nice to see him changing into a person who was caring and working to repair his relationships.

'What are you going to say to her?' I asked him, waiting to hear what he was planning on saying to her.

'I am going to ask her what's bothering her' He replied.

'What?' He questioned me when he saw me trying to hide my smile. It was like watching a big tough guy trying to speak to a child.

'Ask her how she is doing...if she is stressed about something...talk to her about yourself too...let her know how much you appreciate her taking the time to organize our reception party and making sure everything was done right...tell her that she can tell you anything...' I further said, knowing how much it was going to mean to Anum if she hears this from Zain.

He nodded shyly and went outside of the room. In the meanwhile, I decided to call back Sana who had messaged me to call her back.

'Hi, is everything okay...I saw your message' I said as soon as she answered the call. We just met a few hours ago at the party and everything seemed fine whereas the message she sent me seemed like it was a serious matter.
