Claire ran the comb through Twinkle's hair as she sat in front of her vanity mirror smiling up at the woman who was slowing becoming more of a mother than her own. She really felt lucky to have her, she wondered how life would have been if she had a mother like Claire, a mother who cared enough to look at her, to smile at her accomplishments. To hold her when she cried, perhaps life would have not been so painful. The memory of that fatal night came like a cold freezing wind that slowly took away all the warm feelings that she had in her heart, leaving behind a jagged coldness offered no space for any warm feelings to bloom.

"I always wanted a daughter. Someone who I could dress in different clothes and try new hairstyles on. Someone with whom I can do all the girly stuff. My obsession for a daughter was so much that when Kyle and Hercules were young I would often dress them as girls." Claire said trying to distract Twinkle, who slowly seemed to get in the dark abysses of her mind. She smile with a far of look on her face recalling all the good times and the beautiful memories of her life. She couldn't believe how fast time had flown away taking away all the beautiful moments leaving behind only the token of memories that she cherished in her heart, she gazed at Twinkle who was giggling imagining the big bad boy Kyle to be dressed as a girl. Claire smiled contently, the girl was a complete blessing for her family, specifically her son. It was like he was once again her little Kyle that was always happy, the way he was before those monsters changed him forever.

The painful past of her son erased the smile on her face, her heart tugged painfully as she recalled how much broken he had been, he still is but now he just knows how to cover it well. She could sense that Twinkle was just as broken as Kyle if not more, the mother in her could see the lost broken child that peaked through her.

Claire forced a laugh trying to lighten the mood, "oh you're laughing now I'm sure you'll be rolling with laughter on the floor once I show you their pictures. " She giggled as she informed Twinkle, whose eyes sparkled at the mention of pictures. She did a mental dance, she had successfully distracted Twinkle.

"Pictures?! Really?! Would you show me? Pretty please. " She gave her best puppy bog eyes and begged in a soft voice with a cute pout on her face making Claire giggle. "Yea sure but before that why don't you and I prepare something for dinner? I am sure all of them must be famished as they have been locked in that room for hours together now. " Claire suggested as she laid the comb back on the vanity table her eyes looking at Twinkle's, she really hoped that Elise witch is not really her son's mate.

She could never see her little girl's heart broken. Twinkle was her baby now, she referred to her as her mom and had accepted this family as hers this reason alone was enough to get the motherly instincts out ready to protect her, no matter what happens she will always protect her daughter, it won't matter whom she has to fight or how hard she has to fight.

She couldn't understand now when everything was going fine why did life just had to mess it up for Twinkle? Why can't she ever catch a break? But Claire was determined too, she would do everything in her power to protect Twinkle, she won't let those two trolls hurt her daughter.

"What thoughts have stolen you from me mom?" Twinkle questioned as she looked at Claire with a curious look, who snapped out of her thoughts and shook her head slowly and pulled out of her room.

Kyle sat in his office chair glaring at the papers it had been too long since he had killed someone, his hands were itching to snap someone's neck. The beast in him wanted to be out, wanted to kill some of the people out there, for instance Elsie.

The men in front of him were doing nothing but adding more fuel to his anger, making it burn brighter and hotter. This meeting had begun with the intention to lay out the new rules and the now all this man around the conference table were arguing.
