Almost everything within his office was black. Barely any light came through the windows behind his desk, the only thing that kept them from complete darkness was the small lamp on the desk that shone a warm hazy yellow that occasionally flickered due to the entities in the room. One sat with his hands crossed, supporting his chin as he thought deeply. His crisp suit almost blending into the chair if it weren't for his white dress shirt. In his grasp was a cane he slightly fidgeted with. His physical form occasionally glitched and warped into colors of red and blue. He had a look of distaste in his eyes, his eyes narrowed as he stared into the man who sat across from him.
The man who sat across from him was a blaring green, constantly glitching and fidgeting under his gaze. His outfit was the opposite of the formal suit, just a black t-shirt with crimson stains and ripped black pants. One might find their appearance comical together if they didn't ring of death.
The man in the suit sighed before sitting up, finishing his analysis. "So, what's the plan." Anti dared to ask, not knowing what else to say. He was sick of being examined like a wild animal at a zoo and just wanted to get the inevitable argument over with and continue on with their plans. Dark simply sat there, still staring into Anti's eyes, making him uncomfortable. "Stop looking at me like that." Anti snarled, causing Dark to roll his eyes. "Let's just get another fan and get this over with." He said, crossing his arms, slouching back into his chair as he looked away from Dark. He jumped as laughter filled the room. It was sickening and filled with venom.
"Sure, let's just go pick up the next fan on the street and call it good why don't we." He jeered, standing up. "Months of planning, agreements made, every second planned to make this work for nothing! How much I had to sacrifice to get you out of the gutters of his mind for this! And yet, you just want to throw all of this out of the window just because of one hiccup." He took a breath, collecting himself before he continued, " Where are you going to get the serum from now? You burned Marvin's notes and took what little he had. Mark and Jack don't have any fan meetups till September and by then they'll have a cure. You don't even have the power to take another fan now that Jack is aware of our plans and you'll be damned if I'm going to get my hands dirty." Anti just scowled, burying himself deeper into the chair
"Don't you understand why they were so perfect? They don't know who we are, they don't know what we're capable of! It's almost impossible to avoid 'a date with markiplier' yet they haven't even touched it. I'm not going out of my way to find some squealing fangirl and make their dreams come true when we have the perfect specimen at the tips of my fingers. I'll have them walking into my hands by the end of this, I just need you to keep them on their toes and get them back to me when the time is right." He finished, sitting back down, keeping his perfect posture. Anti's eyes snapped towards Dark, glaring into his pit black orbs.
"This won't work unless you give me more power like you promised." He growled. Dark's eyes furrowed, his glitching becoming more furious.
"I don't give treats to worthless dogs. If you want more power, you'll have to earn it. So far all I've seen you do is uncover our plans and give our one asset to the opposing side. You won't get anything until I have them sitting in my hands. I have others to turn too if you can't handle these simple tasks." he taunted as if he was speaking to a child.
Anti stood up, fury in his eyes, the chair behind him falling from his abrupt movement. He swung his hands across the desk, knocking papers, utilities and the lamp to the ground. The light in the room vanished, only the furious glitches from Anti's body lit the room in a harsh green. "This is bullshit." He snarled, throwing the chair out of his way and exiting the office, slamming the door behind him. Dark sat there with no emotion, though his form was breaking. It yelled out in anger, begging to release the anger he held but he had other things to worry about than the overly emotional ego.
(Your POV)
"Hey (Y/n), how's it going?" Jack asked, peeking his head into the room. I was currently thinking things over about earlier while Ethan played some game on the PlayStation. After what happened at Jack's house I wasn't allowed to be alone in a room by myself. I understand their concern but having a babysitter for my age felt so embarrassing.
"Alright, I guess," I told him, looking over at him. He still stood at the doorway and was fidgety, like he was hiding something. My heart pattered but I shook my head, it was just paranoia.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go meet the other egos. I know you've been through a lot already and I understand if you want to relax but the others are pretty curious and excited to meet you." He rambled.
"Sure, I'd love to," I replied, laughing a bit at his antics. He stopped and smiled, rubbing the back of his neck. He walked over in a matter of seconds and laid his hand out in front of me to get on. I almost forgot I couldn't walk by myself anymore. I stood up and crawled onto his hand, a feeling I would never get used to. It felt like an elevator ride as he lifted his hand to his chest, walking towards the door. Ethan just watched, not saying anything but had an emotion on his face that was unrecognizable.
Before I could ask we were already on our way out. I was brought to the kitchen and set and the cold marble counter. The others were awkwardly standing in the kitchen as well, not too sure on who should approach first or what to say. The one with the doctor coat stepped forward, leaning down to my height, his face taking up most of my view.
"It's a pleazure to finally meet you properly, (Y/n)!" He greeted, holding out his finger for a handshake. I shook his pointer finger with both hands since it was too big for one hand. Even now, seeing the size difference still awed me. "How are zee injuries doing?" He asked, tilting his head slightly, causing me to smile.
"Alright, they ache but nothing like before and nothing has leaked through yet," I told him, checking the bandages for myself. I was surprised that the doctor was able to wrap them so professionally for my size, its nice to finally get my wounds treated. I couldn't describe the feeling of relief earlier when I was able to take a bath. While it felt off, being in a bowl typically used for cereal and all, I didn't realize how relieving it was to take one.
"Hmm, yes, how wonderful! I'm glad I could help," he said. I couldn't help but chuckle quietly at his accent, it was so eccentric. I see the man in all red take a step forward, bending down to be at eye level with me.
"Speaking of help, if you ever need any, Jackaboi is here!" he announced, standing up and posing. I laughed, I can't believe I held out on watching Jack for so long, I wish I did now, maybe I'd understand the situation I am a bit more. Marvin moved slowly beside Jackaboi, rubbing his arm nervously.
"I know we spoke earlier so you probably already know who I am but I'm glad I'll be of help for this mess I caused," he said, giving a small smile.
"I can't thank you enough," I told him, smiling. I didn't want him thinking I was blaming him for this. I mean, its not like he purposefully got involved. He smiled once more
"I'll be in my lab if you need me." He stated, walking out of the room. Schneep walked up with another man who was dressed old fashioned.
"This is Jameson, he doesn't speak but he does use ASL if you know it. Don't feel bad if you don't, the others and I are also working on learning how to so you can always join in on our lessons!" Schneep cheerfully stated. Jameson gave a shy wave, smiling which twitched his mustache. I couldn't help but gush at how soft he seemed, what a cute dapper man.
Jackaboi started to talk about his heroic deeds after I had been introduced to everyone, or at least I thought. Jack stood off to the side with his arms crossed, looking concerned and confused. "Chase, do you want to introduce yourself?" He asked someone I hadn't noticed by schneep. Chase looked up, or at least who I thought was Chase, seeming to be caught off guard.
"Oh, uh yeah." He stuttered, walking up to me. "Hey, I'm chase, it's nice to meet you." he greeted, offering his hand out like schneep but quickly pulled it away. "Sorry, I forgot you can't really do that. How about a high five?" He said, bringing his hand back for me to high five. I stepped back for a moment, awed by his hand and how it was taller than me. Was I really that short?
"(Y/n)?" Jack asked, bringing me out of my awed state. I blushed giving him the biggest high five I could.
"Nice high five little duder. Anyways, I have some things I need to handle so I'll be back later." He said briskly, leaving abruptly, his cheery mood dimmming. What happened? Jack called his name but he left without turning around. Everyone else in the room stayed silent, not sure what to say Jack looked down at me.
"Sorry about that, he hasn't acted like that for a while now, I'm not too sure what is going on," he told me, offering his hand out.
"No worries, I just hope he's alright," I told him. He smiled, carefully picking me up.
"Well, I'll go see what's up, do you want to hang with Ethan some more?" He asked and I nodded, him carrying me on my way. The others dispersed soon after, leaving the tense room. I wonder what's going on?
