Poem - Pearls of Wisdom

The pearls of wisdom
Flowing from the living room
No time wasted
Before being swept away
By a bloom

Our life is precious
Protection requires
Wise investments
Seeing the future
Before you are tested

The living room is where
the sages sit
Wisdom dispersing
when ears are near
How can the naive be
instructed
When their hearts are
driven by
doubt, anxiety and fear?

Wisdom is not simply dispensed
It is negotiated, debated,
filtered, questioned
Sages and simpletons discuss
in earnest
The results should be easy
for digestion

Something we don't appreciate
Finding out how
reality ticks
Our brains are racing
To the next
milestone
And we wonder why
we feel sick

But there is liberation
In understanding
how the real world
jives
It's the thin line
between
If you just survive
or thrive

Life may look
so complex
But it's solutions
may be so simple
They are the difference between
A pimple and a dimple

All eyes are on the wise
As they take off their disguise
And tell it straight
Straight to the heart
You will never
Make advances
Until you move one foot forward
Just.
Simply.
Start.
