Poem: Scenes for Senses

Staring into the stars
Wedded to the cosmos
Counting remaining power bars
Ready for all foes

Strutting down the forest trail
At peace in this scene
Producing a body hearty and hale
Drinking in the green

Sailing in gentle sea waves
Shielded from the sun
Forgetting all the missed goalie saves
Redefining the concept of fun

Ogling a valley from the mountain top
Exhausted from the ascent
Hoping the moment will never stop
May as well haha pitch a tent

Crossing a busy street with a hope and a prayer
Numb from the myriad sounds and sights
Picking up what I need then I'm out of here
My temperament would surely invite a fight

Staring out my rain-streaked window
Shielded from the storm
Anticipating making new friends and foes
Ready for the coming days to merge into a swarm

The sounds, the sights
My world is a kite
I fly at both mid-day and midnight
It's my way
Of readjusting my height
