Jinyoung walked up to the familiar apartment door. He took in a breath, hesitating before his knuckles met the wood.

2 and a half days passed that he spent in Heaven, and now he was back for good. He said goodbye to whoever he needed to, not that they cared anyway, and the entire time his thoughts were focused on Jaebum. He needed to see him. To let him know that he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

He knocked on the door, waiting for a few moments before hearing the lock turn. Youngjae's face peeked out, his eyes widening as he looked upon their visitor. "Jinyoung..."

Jinyoung smiled, nodding his head. "I'm back. Where's Jaebum-"

"Um, wait." Youngjae glanced back into the apartment, letting out a frustrated sigh. "Before you see him, he... seems to be very lost and confused. It's like overnight he just forgot about you, I've been trying to remind him but he refuses to believe me..."

Jinyoung felt his mouth dry. The really did wipe his memories. But the council said he would remember him, just not about all the angel stuff. Jinyoung only wanted to see him more, he wanted to see his lover's reaction himself. "That's okay. Let me see him."

Youngjae stepped back, allowing Jinyoung in. He made his way to the living room, seeing Jaebum sprawled on the couch, his face buried in a throw pillow.  "Jaebum?"

At the sound of Jinyoung's voice, Jaebum lifted his head, his eyes widening as he laid his gaze on the angel. "J-Jinyoung? That's you?"

Jinyoung nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yeah..."

"Oh my god..." Jaebum stood from the couch, tugging Jinyoung into his arms. "I missed you so much baby, you scared me half to death, where the hell did you go?  Why didn't you call me? I should've filed a missing persons report, but Youngjae wouldn't let me for some reason, he kept telling me 'it won't work'..."

"So, you really don't remember anything huh..." Jinyoung mumbled.

Jaebum pulled back, a confused frown on his face. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing..." Jinyoung felt his heart tear a little. It felt like he'd lost a bit of their history together. But who was he to complain? He was just glad to be back. "I'm just glad to be back."

"Don't ever leave without telling me again. Youngjae had all these papers written in a weird language, he kept talking about Heaven and stuff, it was so weird..." Jaebum mumbled, shooting a glare at Youngjae who quietly looked on.

Youngjae ignored the look, drawing his attention to the other angel. "Jinyoung, what happened up there?"

"I made a deal. Or... got punished again, I guess..." Jinyoung explained. He sighed softly as he pulled back and looked at Jaebum's clueless face. It felt slightly different to look at him but, he couldn't complain. "He doesn't remember anything about me because of it. But that's okay, as long as I'm with him, it doesn't matter."

"Oh I see..." Youngjae mumbled, also looking over at Jaebum who just looked lost in the conversation.

"I'm... basically human now... I can't go back... and I have a shortened lifespan too so..." Jinyoung trailed off, his eyes dropping to the floor.

"What are you guys even talking about? You've always been human... and, shortened lifespan...?" Jaebum frowned, confused by the two's conversation.

Jinyoung shook his head, gently patting Jaebum's cheek. "Don't worry about it."

"I'm glad you're back. Are you... really okay with your punishment?" Youngjae asked.

"I'm okay with anything as long as I have Jaebum." Jinyoung assured. He could tell that Jaebum was still lost, there was no point of including him in their conversation any longer. "Hey um... can you get me some tea? My throat's kinda day..."
