The plan had seemed great on paper, or in this case, rambled aloud by Deku as his mind raced in a way yours just couldn't. Where you would act on impulse, Deku thought through and worked multiple scenarios and possible outcomes before taking action. In practice, however, there were more villains present than you'd all managed to anticipate.

Before you could act on the agreed plan the wall a few feet behind you was destroyed, stopping you all in your tracks. You could just make out the silhouette of the person in the settling debris. Tall with spiked hair.

"Katsuki!" You breathed hurrying towards the figure.

The scarred arm that reached for you had you fumbling to a stop. Shit! Shit! Shit! You slammed right into him, a solid wall of a body that definitely wasn't Bakugo.

"What have we here?" An amused smile looked down on you as the last of the dust settled at your feet.

"Now," you gulped in a pathetic whisper. Then again, louder and stronger as you shoved for all you were worth. "Do it now guys!" You kept your hold on him as he stumbled sideways back through the wall. Even if I can only distract one it's one less for them to worry about!

He tossed you with the ease of a sack of potatoes but you got back up. Determined to provide some sort of help, you weren't going to let him get the better or you so easily. Ignoring the bewildered shouts at your sudden presence you ran at him.

"Think you can take me?" He smiled eagerly when he grabbed hold of your outstretched arm. Blue fire erupted, the agonizing pain, there and gone again instantaneously, almost had you blacking out. More pain tearing at your throat was the only indicator you had of actually screaming. The unmistakable stench of burnt flesh stung your nostrils.

Adrenaline was the only thing keeping you upright. With your free arm you swung and somehow managed to land a solid kidney punch, making him cry out momentarily.

Heat scorched your back, the fire effectively blocking you off from your friends. Though your knees buckled he grabbed fist fulls of your shirt, barely keeping you on your feet. "Is the boy so important to you that you would put your own life on the line?"

"Putting others before myself is what's going to make me a hero," you managed through grit teeth. I can't pass out. Not now. With trembling fingers your grabbed at his wrists. Fatigue rushed from your unmaimed arm onto his.

"What kind of parlor trick is this?" He barked incredulously. He pushed away from you, his brows furrowed in anger as he witness your burn begin to shrink and heal. "What the hell kind of quirk do you have?" He grabbed at you again. Before you could even blink he was burning your other arm.

Your screams were still echoing off of nearby buildings when you came to. Your body begged for refuge, every inch of it shaking uncontrollably from the torture.

"Dabi, quit playing around and get the boy."

Dabi rolled his eyes with a growled sigh but released you, letting you crumple unceremoniously in a heap at his feet. Enduring the pain in your arms you wrapped them around one of his legs quickly. Drywall and metal framework bit into your wounds as he dragged you with each step.

"Get off of me you bitch!"

"You're going to pass out now," you rasped at him before he himself rag-dolled. Blood and charred skin may have been coating your arms, but underneath there was little evidence of the burns save for the pink scars of healing skin. Though you tried to push yourself to your feet, your arms wouldn't support your weight.

"Someone get them!" You finally placed the demanding voice as Shigaraki's.

"Y/N!" Bakugo had blasted himself over the wall of flames, somehow landing gracefully a few feet from you. "What the hell are you doing here?"
