Chaeryeong's P.O.V

After a long ride, I woke up to find Taehyun wasn't here. I looked around and saw him admiring the view outside. I opened the door and started walking towards him, but I immediately rubbed my hands due to the cold wind.

"Aish! It's cold outside," I said.

"Then, go back inside the car," he said without even looking at me.

I sighed, "The view is way too nice to leave it without admiring it." I smiled while looking at the city lights. "It's beautiful and peaceful."

"It's great, right?" He asked, making me nod my head as a response to his question.

"Chaeryeong," he called, making me look at him. He bit his lower lip before looking at me with his serious look. "Today... today will be the only day that we can be friends."

My jaw literally dropped because of what he said. What does it mean? We can friends for one day only? I was too stunned to speak. I don't know what to say.

He looked away. "Then, I guess you don't want me to be your one day friend."

I blinked my eyes for a couple times, looking at him in confuse. "Why... why are you like this?"

"Nothing. I'm bored and I feel like I need someone to talk to. You are the only person here beside me, so I can't call my friends." He blabbered, looking away and trying to avoid my eyes.

I stayed quiet while waiting for him to look at me. I just wanted to see his reaction, and I also found him cute while asking me to be his friend. It's not like I don't want to be friends with him; I really want to get close to Taehyun, but I can't handle him.

"You don't want to?" He asked, getting annoyed by me not saying anything.

"Why are you so straightforward?" I scoffed, looking away from him.

"I was born to be like that," he replied, making me chuckle a bit. He frowned upon hearing my chuckle, "Okay? What's funny?"

I shook my head. "Nothing! Let's be friends!" I offered my hand, waiting for him to take it and shake hands with me.

I smiled widely after seeing his hands touching my hands. I looked at him. "Taehyun-ah! Since we're friends now, should I tell you my-"

He pulled me for a hug. "Only for today."

I widened my eyes as soon as he wrapped his hands around me. I can't believe it! I can't even move even though it's not that tight. He hugged me for real! My heart started to beat faster than it normally would as he buried his face in my shoulder, making himself comfortable just like a baby.

"I really hate it when I tell someone I'm sad, but I feel like I want someone's comfort. When I said someone's comfort, I want to receive it from a stranger who doesn't have any idea about me," he said.

I slowly put my hands on his back, tapping it gently to make him feel safe with me. I didn't know what to say because it's true that I have no idea what's going on with his life. We are not close, we are not friends.
