Fourteen- Apology

I woke up, with Mike next to me. I got up, not caring if he woke up as well. I walked into my bathroom, taking a shower. Once I was out, I got dressed and Mike was still in bed.

"Wake up..." I said shaking Mike. He fell out of bed, rubbing his head in pain.

"Ow..." Mike said getting up.

I walked out of my room, grabbing my bag.

As I walked out into the hall, Jonathan walked out as well. We both walked out to the kitchen.

"Morning boys" My mom said as we sat at the table.

She passed us our breakfast, as Mike walked out awake and dressed. He sat next to me, but I didn't say anything to him.

"Morning Joyce..." Mike said smiling.

"Morning Mike..." My mom replied.

"Morning Will" Mike said facing me. I continued eating my breakfast and before long, I was getting up and making my lunch.

"What's wrong with him?" I could hear my mom whisper to Mike.

"El is the problem! There! You happy?" I asked getting upset.

I grabbed my bag, packed my lunch and left the house. I got on my bike and rode off.

I got to school, getting off my bike and putting it at the bike-rack.

"Hey Will...are you ok?" Max asked walking up to me.

"Leave me alone Max..." I said walking off.

I spent the day avoiding my friends, Mike and especially El. I hate how she looks at him. It's like she doesn't even care that Mike is my boyfriend. I was told to treat El nicely, because my mom is dating Hopper, but I don't care. Maybe I should talk to Hopper about it.

The bell for the end of the day sounded. I walked to my bike and rode to the police station.

"Hey Will. You here for Hopper?" Flo asked as I entered.

"Y-Yeah..." I said smiling. I was sent into Hopper's office.

"Hey kid..." Hopper said. I sat down in the chair opposite his.

"Can we talk...about El?" I asked. I was a little nervous.

"What about her? Did she use her powers?" Hopper asked.

"N-No. It's not about her powers.." I said looking at my bag.

"It's about her and Mike..." I spoke.

"What about her and Mike..." Hopper asked.

"Well...as you may or may not know, her and Mike broke up." I said.

"Yeah, she told me. Mike confessed that he was bi, and she accepted that he liked you." Hopper said lighting a cigarette.

"Recently....El...well she has been acting as if her and Mike are still dating." I said looking at him.

"What do you mean?" Hopper asked.

"She was slowly getting closer to him when we were walking to school and she asked him to sit with her at lunch..." I said explaining.

"It was her first day. She was probably just nervous." Hopper said.

"That's exactly what Mike said when I told him, but she was laughing at everything he said, and she wouldn't talk to me at all. She would cut me out of every conversation and she would obviously flirt with him in front of me..." I said getting upset.

"Ok, ok. How about I talk to her when she gets home from Mike's house?" Hopper asked.

"See? She's coercing him to spend more time with her instead of me...his boyfriend..." I said pissed off.

"I'll call you later tonight once I've discussed with her..." Hopper said.

I stood up, leaving his office and riding home.

"Where were you just now?" My mom asked as I walked inside.

"I was talking to Hopper..." I said walking straight to my room.

After 1 hour, I heard my front door open and shut. My door opened 1 minute later.

"Hey babe..." Mike said as he kissed me. I went back to doing my homework.

"Please talk to me..." Mike said.

"Talk..." I said.

"I'm sorry for defending El. You were right. She is still in love with me." Mike said holding my hand.

"And how did you figure that out Mike?" I asked sarcastically.

"She kissed me. Like we did when we were dating. I pulled away before she could go further and I demanded she leave." Mike said.

I kissed mike.

"You forgive me?" Mike asked.

"Yes..." I kissed him again.
