Noisy Sounds in Quiet Places

Noisy sounds in quiet places,

And fireworks sing a tune still ringing in

Church steeples. Preserve the time,

Come noon ring the bells, scurry

The church mice into dark corners;

Noisy sounds in quiet places.

Trains coming and going, living near

The tracks is a fun thing for

The young in this country town.

Stop, lay a penny on the track

See it flattened, a cool experience.

Blow the siren in unobtrusive lands.

Swim in the tank ponds, always plenty

Of them around, a need for every track and spur.

The cattle moo, dogs bark, and gunshot rings out.

A young boy falls to the ground in a small town.

The horn blows in a broken town.
