Lucifer & Tranquility

Memories and regrets,
Haunt her darkened mind,
Betrayed again and again,
Thinking life would get better
For a time it did.

Memories,
Rise from the depths,
That once had them buried.

Emotions,
The wall of thick ice and glass,
Destroying,
All hope and happiness,
She once had,
That feels so long ago.

Regrets,
Haunt her saddened mind,
Wishing,
For what could never happen,
Lost bridges,
Cities,
Sun,
Moon,
And stars.

Ice,
Now frosting over her once pure heart.

The dim candle light,
Slowly fading,
Blackness creeping back in,
Consuming purity,
Darkening all that it touches.

For all she sought was tranquillity,
All that arose from the depths,
Of the unknown was rage,
Along with chaos.

Lucifer,
Breaking down the walls of the hell,
That she was in,
Banshees screaming,
Demons running about.

For Lucifer,
Stopping time,
Creating,
A sense of tranquillity,
That she utmost desired,
Peace at last!

Demons showing their ugly face,
Saliva and bile,
Dripping down the sides,
Of their vile faces.

Fallen angel,
King of Hell,
Her saving grace.

Vile creatures all at once,
Swarm him,
Plucking,
Lucifer's most precious,
Charcoal black feathers,
For themselves,
Leaving their disgusting,
Fingerprints.

Arising from the pile of,
Blood and guts,
A new man stood.

Lucifer standing,
Blood trailing down,
His back,
Pain,
Radiating throughout his body,
Dirt and grime,
Covering his torso.

She now could see,
Him for the man he really is,
A man of war.

Tranquility,
Was all she ever longed for,
Though,
In the beginning,
He had given it to her.

Growls and snarls,
Feather ripping out,
Their sockets,
Blood running down his once,
Ivory back,
Lucifer's loud roar,

Vile creatures flying.

Away she turned,
Knowing,
He is not,
Nor ever will be,
What she thought,
Wanted,
Or needed.

One thought,
Always lingered,
Did Lucifer ever really love her?,
Or was it a sick twisted game?.
