Musical Love

I used to fall in love
Just a little ol' little bit
Every day with someone new
Then I seen forever
In your eyes
But forever ain't half the time
I wanna spend with you
I wanna be with you.

I run away
When things get good
I never really understood
The way
You laid your eyes on me
In ways that no one ever could

But let's stop
Running from love
And I'll stop giving you that
Cold heart
Cold shoulder
Without you
I'm just a sad song.

I can't believe
It's true sometimes
That I get to love you
Right now
What I'd do to have you here
I wish you were here.

I always end up underneath
The weight of the world
Despite all your kind words
I can't explain why
I'm hurting myself
But it feels deserved
I spend a lot of time pretending I don't see the things you see
Even though
You understand the way I think
You see my life for what it is
Not what it could have been
When you find yourself
Caught in the rain
Read this love note I wrote
Just for a rainy day.
