Forbidden Love

No matter
What I say
Or do
You push me away
You hurt me.

All I want
As silly as it sounds
I want you to love me
The type of love
We felt in summer
I want to see you smile
Hear you laugh
Feel you in my arms.

Everything
About that week
Was absolutely surreal
I would give everything
I have and possess
To go back and live it
Again
Just to see you smile
Hear your laugh
Watch your lips
As they uttered
Those three words
For the first time
While I watched
The blush
That colored your face
The adorable grin
That overtook
Your lips
When I murmured
Those those three words back.

Everything about
That week
Was forbidden
It was amazing
But it was what made me
Lose you
When our feelings awakened
It ruined everything
If I knew our love
For each other
Would have looked
Like the aftermath
Of a hurricane
I would have
Never called you
That week in summer.

This time
I have to accept you
Are gone forever
This is my goodbye
To the boy
