Chapter 26 "Arrival at the castle"

"T-The thunder hero?"
The king before me asked.

Yes. No one, not even me, expected me to be the thunder hero.

"Your majesty! He must be a fake! We already have a hero!"

Most of the people said that, until it was proven in the magic crystal, that reveals my class and name.
Everyone was attempting to be able to explain why there were two
Heroes.
And the king was seemingly having a headache.
Since I was only allowed to enter here because of my new hero title, I didn't have the chance to tell them why I'm here.

"Your majesty, I came here for a different reason though."

"Oh? What would that be?"
The king asked me with a sigh, almost as if he was relieved.

Then I told them what happened. About the monster that was taking over our village and doing whatever it pleased, the other monster robbing us of the only coins we had, and of the death of my dad, Bulliver.

After I finished with my story, most of the guards were trying to hold back their tears.

"Could you tell us how these monsters looked."
The king asked with a frown.

"They had grey fur and yellow glowing eyes."
Since that was all I could tell them, I expected that they would reveal to me what kind of monster it was.

"It can't be! Those are wanted monsters we have been looking for years!"

A noble shouted in surprise. Monsters that have been wanted for years? Were they that dangerous?

"And to think that not even Bulliver could hunt them..."

The king's despair was growing before suddenly looking at me with a serious expression and asking,

"Can you defeat them?"

I wasn't sure what to answer-

"Hey! Don't ignore us! I found a chicken in my backpack!"

"...Shut up, we're in front of a king."

Before being interrupted by this duo.
I really am curious on how they met.
Maybe I should ask them one day.

"And you two are?"
The king asked while ignoring Mustard girl's sentence.

"Mustard girl is here! And you can call her Agathe!"

"Please excuse her rudeness. Her name is Anastashia and my name is Nyahlia. Please ignore the chicken."

I was surprised when I heard mustard girl's real name. Does she maybe hate her real name?

"A cat-girl in this country?"

Nyahlia stiffened when she heard the king ask that.

"Your majesty, the wanted monsters."

"Ah, excuse me for changing the topic."

The king apologized after the hero reminded him.

"Darnel, you and our kingdom's hero will go and defeat them."

The hero looked excited when the king said "defeat them". I was just relieved that our village could go somewhat back to normal.
Even though I won't be seeing dad anymore, I can maybe still continue a peaceful life with Mom, Daisy and Avaritia.

"Hello~ am I interrupting something?"

My thoughts were interrupted by an intimidating voice from above.
When I looked up I couldn't believe what I saw.
A dragon.
It was tearing the roof apart like it was paper.
And I probably wasn't the only one who was overwhelmed by it's presence.

"Excuse me, I will be borrowing this castle for a while."

The dragon said while thousands of grey creatures were barging into the castle. The dragon was clearly grinning.
