"Who are you?" I asked, still left in the shock and scared state that came over me when gunshots were heard.
I look up to his face which was hidden behind a dark shadow and bit my lips as silence fell between us.
"Who I am is none of your business,"...
I slowly opened my eyes, immediately closing them shut again because of the bright daylight. Opening my eyes again, I looked around my surroundings with a confused look on my face and one question in my head.
What happened?
Who brought me here? Is Jaxon okay? Am I kidnapped?
Okay, I lied. It was more than one question that was on my mind and I really couldn't help but think of it.
I started I panic a little as I pulled back the duvet from me and rose to my feet. Walking towards the door, I attempted to open it but failed.
It was...locked!
'I've been kidnapped!!!' I screamed in my head while I continued to try and open the door but all my attempts failed and I was about to give up and cry my eyeballs off but just when I was about to give up, the door flew open.
Not by me but by...Jaxon? He's here? He's alive?
"Omg! You're alive!" I yelled in relief and he said nothing but walked me back to the bed, where he placed me to sit.
The place fell in silence and he did not say a word at all. All he did was took out a first aid kit and treated that was on my neck I guess. But the place was too silent for me and I really had a lot of questions that I was dying to hear of the answers.
So I broke the silence with the question "What happened?"
He was also finishing up with treating my bruise so he removed his hands from my neck and put the first aid kit away before taking a seat next to me but still didn't say a thing.
I was starting to get annoyed by him and frustrated that he has not answered my question. I really wanted to know!
"Are you gonna tell me or should I stop?" I asked, annoyance dripping in my voice a bit and only then did he turned to look at me.
With a sigh, he answered "Well, after leaving the bathroom because I had a bad feeling that you were in trouble, I saw you being chocked by a woman I knew. A woman I once worked with. So I fought her and you fell to the floor, panting for breath and went unconscious a few minutes after"
I nodded my head, pleased that my question was answered but I still had more questions and didn't feel afraid at all to ask. So I continued, "So...what do you mean when you said a woman I have once worked with?"
He looked me in my eyes, his jaw suddenly clenched again like before when I asked him 'Who is that Leonard guy?' and although he got me scared a little, he answered my question nevertheless.
"As I mentioned before, I was a former assassin. I had a few partners I was assigned to work with and she was one of them. Very cruel, merciless and don't waste time into killing someone which is why she chocked you when you answered with I don't know"
"Wait, you heard me?"
"yes"
"Then where were you?" I don't get it! If he heard me say I don't know and saw me being chocked then why didn't he acted right away? Why did he wait until death almost dragged me away with him?
"I was sneaking up to her without her knowing. I just couldn't run-up to her and fought her. I've known her for a long time and I know how she thinks when she fights and I know her every move. Trust me, she's very smart and that's why she could tell you were lying. So I had to be very cautious"
"Oh, I get it. So...did you kill her?"
"No, I was going to but then I heard you yelling for help and thought you were hurt really bad after you fell unconscious a few seconds later so I only knocked her out then managed to get the two of us out of there before she works up" he answered and I felt my face heat up in embarrassment.
"Oh, I see. Thank you" I really want to thank him for saving me and being there when I need ed him because I know for sure, if he wasn't there, I would be dead a man by now.
"uh... its really no problem" He responded looking away and I smiled at him but then frown when I saw his face turning a little red.
Is he blushing?
